TV Shows and Clothing Brands: Tacky or Perfect?

Scandal had a clothing line with The Limited. Riverdale's Jughead's beanie at Hot Topic. Mad Men had a brand at The Banana Republic. With so many TV shows and movies having lines at clothings stores, it can be hard to resist!

Would you buy a clothes based on your favorite show or do you find it tacky or are they clothes you would wear?

Tell me your thoughts down in the comments!

As someone who loved Mad Men--and the clothes from that era--I was all over their clothing line at Banana Republic. In this case, loved it. I'm also a fan of Lucy Liu's wardrobe on Elementary. If I could buy some of her outfits from one of my local stores (depending on the store), I would totally go for it.

I'm not real big on buying stuff based off tv shows and trends. But I do love when they use actual brands on tv shows. Most especially as they come up with such backward and twisted and yet familiar names for the soap opera products.
