From June 6, 2012:

Lisa Kleypas left us completely floored with her latest Ravenels book, Devil in Spring, which—you guessed it—gave us the story of Devil in Winter's Sebastian and Evie's son, Gabriel. Now we're waiting with bated breath for the next book in the series, Hello Stranger.

Last December, Kleypas let it slip during a Facebook Live broadcast that Dr. Garrett Gibson's story would be next, but it's only now that we officially know who her hero will be:

New York Times bestselling author Lisa Kleypas delivers a scintillating tale of an unconventional beauty who finds passion with the spy who can’t resist her

A woman who defies her time

Dr. Garrett Gibson, the only female physician in England, is as daring and independent as any man—why not take her pleasures like one? Yet she has never been tempted to embark on an affair, until now. Ethan Ransom, a former detective for Scotland Yard, is as gallant as he is secretive, a rumored assassin whose true loyalties are a mystery. For one exhilarating night, they give in to their potent attraction before becoming strangers again.

A man who breaks every rule

As a Ravenel by-blow spurned by his father, Ethan has little interest in polite society, yet he is captivated by the bold and beautiful Garrett. Despite their vow to resist each other after that sublime night, she is soon drawn into his most dangerous assignment yet. When the mission goes wrong, it will take all of Garrett’s skill and courage to save him. As they face the menace of a treacherous government plot, Ethan is willing to take any risk for the love of the most extraordinary woman he’s ever known.

In April, Kleypas teased us more in an interview with Cosmopolitan where she divulged that Garrett and Ethan's meet-cute... isn't so cute. Garrett has shown that she can take care of herself, but it's always good to have a bit of extra muscle for backup—and that's exactly what Ethan Ransom provides. We're sensing that this pair is about to be our new power couple!

I'm so excited for Garrett's story! I have been ever since she first saved Winterborne a couple of books back. And needless to say, I'm intrigued by Ethan. . .

@carmenlire -- I LOVE when authors slowly build up to a story over several books, but I'm glad she's not dragging it out TOO long. It's a fine line.

@Kareni -- Yes, sorry for making the wait seem even longer! We do enjoy our speculation...

Was hoping these two would get together. AND that he'd turn out to be a "relative" of the Ravenels.

While I can not wait for Dr. Gibson' s story, this cover does nothing for me. Butler will still read it!!!

Considering how beautiful Marrying Winterborne and Devil in Spring's covers were, this is a major step back. Why is she wearing a 90s prom dress?
