5 Erotic Romance Best Bets for September 2017

In need of some sexy reading material to fill your e-reader? I’m here for you. Each month I will bring you an assortment of erotic reads to tempt your palate and your credit card.

Opposites attraction seems to be the theme this September as the couples below explore their deepest fantasies while struggling to find common ground in their attraction to one another. From CEOs to MC enforcers, to oyster girls and photographers, every walk of life has a kinky side if they are brave enough to face it.

Please note that not every story I recommend is a current release. Some have already released while others are coming soon.

Skirt Chaser by Stacey Kennedy

Skirt Chaser by Stacey Kennedy

(Amazon | B&N | Kobo)

Greyson Crawford works hard by day and plays even harder at night. And he understands and obeys the rules of the game. One, don’t mix business and pleasure. Two, employees are off-limits. So, he’s been eagerly counting down the days until interior designer, Evie Richards is no longer under contract with his Seattle architecture firm. But when that day comes, he realizes there are more obstacles in his way. The biggest…Evie herself.

Until Evie gets asked to be the maid-of-honor in her best friend’s destination wedding, and Evie needs a date. The circumstances are perfect for Greyson to set his plan of seduction into motion. He will happily play the boyfriend for the wedding event, if Evie will surrender to his every command and play in his bed.

For Evie, it’s all fun and games until Greyson’s first touch; then she begins to question what’s real. She knows better than to fall for a guy like Greyson—a skirt chasing ladies’ man—but with every slow caress and kinky adventure, she realizes that Greyson knows what he wants, and it isn’t just her body surrendering to him…it’s her heart.

The second in Kennedy’s deliciously sensual and erotic Filthy Dirty Love series opens the door to an energetic opposites attraction relationship that is built on anticipation, lust, and sexual tension. When a young interior designer invites a former client to a weekend wedding, he is ecstatic he will finally get to act on all his fantasies about her but what starts out an erotic fling blossoms into more when the weekend ends but their attraction doesn’t.

The Lady of Royale Street by Thea de Salle

The Lady of Royale Street by Thea de Salle

(Amazon | B&N | Kobo)

Alex DuMont is everything his brother Sol isn’t: regimented, serious, and devout. Between twelve-hour workdays, service to the church, punishing daily workouts, and bi-weekly therapy sessions, Alex is, as Sol once put it, “a kettle perpetually whistling as it boils itself to death.” So when Sol announces his marriage to Arianna Barrington, heiress and society sweetheart, Alex is the absolute worst choice to be his best man. Sol asks anyway and Alex reluctantly agrees. It’s only a week, after all, and Alex should be able to stop himself from throttling his big brother for a meager seven days. Probably. Maybe.

Theresa Ivarson is Arianna’s best friend and the maid of honor. A decorated photojournalist who interrupts her globetrotting to stand beside her friend, Theresa is beautiful, witty, and unafraid to speak her mind. So when she is faced with working with the best man from Hell, a Viking who doesn’t know how to smile, is bossy, and about as pleasant as a cactus, the sparks are bound to fly—and not in the good way. To make matters worse, Sol and Rain's wedding planner was hit by a bus the week before their special day, and Alex and Theresa find themselves at the center of a list-ditch effort to pull the wedding together. But when you can’t decide if you want to kiss or kill someone, something’s bound to break.

Thea de Salle never breaks a promise and their 3rd book in the NOLA Nights series more than proves that with plenty of laughter, kink, antagonism, and some hot delicious makeup sex. No countertop or break room is safe when Alex DuMont comes home for the wedding of his brother, Sol. Religious guilt, crazy paparazzi, a pet tiger, and a chance at happiness will leave readers sighing AND blushing with joy.

Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters

Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters

(Amazon | B&N | Kobo)

Nan King, an oyster girl, is captivated by the music hall phenomenon Kitty Butler, a male impersonator extraordinaire treading the boards in Canterbury. Through a friend at the box office, Nan manages to visit all her shows and finally meet her heroine. Soon after, she becomes Kitty's dresser and the two head for the bright lights of Leicester Square where they begin a glittering career as music-hall stars in an all-singing and dancing double act. At the same time, behind closed doors, they admit their attraction to each other and their affair begins.

This erotic historical is a brilliantly engaging tale that chronicles a woman’s coming of age in the 1800s as her education is expanded in sex, homosexuality, prostitution, and cross-dressing. Sexually explicit with some humor, heartbreak, betrayal, and redemption, Waters breathes life into some tired tropes using exceptional narrative and a lead character whose appeal is both their strength and their vulnerability.

Devil’s Own by Megan Crane

Devil’s Own by Megan Crane

(Amazon | B&N | Kobo)

Lara Ashburn hates bikers. She watched a motorcycle club destroy her hometown, bringing her brother down with it. That’s a life she put far in her rearview. So the last person she wants to see walking into her classroom is the top enforcer of the Devil’s Keepers. Big, mean, and gorgeous, all tattoos and leather, Chaser is everything Lara should avoid. Yet the insane chemistry sparking between them tempts her to break all the rules.

Ryan “Chaser” Frey has his hands full with a teen daughter in need of tough love, and he doesn’t have time for prissy teachers who want to tell him how to raise his kid. But Chaser never could resist a chick who gives as good as she gets. Lara is sexy as hell, and she’s not afraid of him. Plus, her links to a California club could provide the Devils with leverage against their enemies. But that would mean mixing business with pleasure—and risking the one woman Chaser can’t afford to lose.

The third book in Crane’s The Devil’s Keeper series is another opposites attract romance with a splash of sexually fueled antagonism. Not everyone dreams of being someone’s old lady, especially one woman whose own experiences with MCs have made them enemy #1 in her world. But when the only man to rev her engine is the enforcer for the local MC, well, it’s always better with the devil you know. Lightly erotic with a nice balance between the romance and the main storyline, this is probably my favorite of the series so far.

Long for Me by Stacey Lynn

Long for Me by Stacey Lynn

(Amazon | B&N | Kobo)

Rebecca-I’ve seen what happens when you give everything to a man. That's not what I want. I won't have my heart crushed in anyone's fist. Then he changed everything. Him. Bennett Ashby. My boss. Seeing him at Luminous, dressed in leather pants and wielding a whip...

Do I crave this?  My mind says no, but my body is starting to have very different ideas.

Bennett-I knew Rebecca Morales would be the perfect assistant. That's why I hired her.  I didn't know that working with her every day would lead to temptation—to own her, to possess her.  When she walked into Luminous, I knew I was screwed. Dipping your pen in the company ink is never smart, but we both agreed what happens at the club stays there. One night and then it's back to business tomorrow.

Except I don't want just one night with Rebecca. I want them all.

The third story in the Luminous series is a relationship embarks into the forbidden zone when Long revamps the common trope of employer/employee romance with the use of BDSM as their starting point. I enjoyed the balance between the story and the kink. Neither overwhelms the other as Long takes her time allowing this couple to get to know one another while exploring their darker sides together.

So tell us, what had your e-reader smoking this month?
