Did You Get Any Reading Done Over the Long Weekend?

My weekend is all booked

For our U.S. readers—and Team H&H—Labor Day gifts us a long weekend to send off summer and reward ourselves for our labors. It's our chance to relax and welcome fall (and Pumpkin Spice Lattes) into our lives again. Hopefully your weekend was fully booked with both fun plans... and really great reading!

Did you get a chance to read this weekend? If so, what did you read and love?

Tell us about it in the comments!

I read "The Kingpin of Camelot" by Cassandra Gannon. It's and Urban Fairy Fantasy. Widowed Gwen seeks shelter with Midas, the kingpin of Camelot's undelworld, to regroup and fight against the Scarecrow, who's taken over the thrown. It's a fun mishmash of fantasy, fictional and fairy tale characters that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I started Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series back up. Every time I think she can't make it any better, she does. Currently reading Mercy & Riley and HOLY MOLY it's good.

I did! I finished Sanctuary by Rebekah Weatherspoon, read Ready Set Rogue by Manda Collins and started Deacon by Kit Rocha! All very enjoyable and I highly recommend!

After a tough week at work, I read Beauty and the Wiener by Casey Griffin which was full of "dachshund" humor and a good second book in the series. I started Elin Hilderbrand's The Identicals on Sunday as an "end of summer" book.

Reading is practically all I did. We had record heat here and my favorite online game was down all weekend, so I blew through books 4-6 of the YA series Sweep by Cate Tiernan on the recommendation of a friend. I'm not usually into YA, but am a complete sucker for witches :)
