“I will admit that I am a binge reader”: Comments That Made Our Week

We at Heroes and Heartbreakers are so proud of and thankful for this wonderful community. Thank you for always adding a little extra sparkle to our week. In honor of Fan Friday, we want to give a special shoutout to a few of our favorite comments, and the readers behind them. We love your work!

Laura001 is a confirmed binge reader

Laura001 in What’s the Longest Binge-Reading Streak You’ve Been On?

I will admit that I am a binge reader. If I find a series that I like I will read the whole series start to finish and preorder any future releases. If I really like an author I will track down everything they have ever published and read it too, including website short stories and freebies. I think the longest binge read of any series I have read was the Argeneau Vampire series by Lynsay Sands because it was already 19 books long when I discovered it. Coming in a close second was the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon because not only was it a long series on its own but i discovered that it was also intertwined with the Dream Hunter series and the Chronicles of Nick.

Cathy Cornett loves a good romcom

Cathy Cornett in What Romance Novel Left You Feeling the Most Satisfied?

I have to say anything by Penny Reid. My first story, Elements of Chemistry, is a trilogy that had my heart from the beginning. This story is so heartbreakingly beautiful. And everyone of her books are so well written. There is always depth to her characters that make them real and pull you in. Ms. Reid is an author that will always be my automatic read and reread.

AnnaBowling is feeling the Romelza vibes

AnnaBowling in Who Is Your Summertime (Shipping) Fling?

My newest ship is Ross and Demelza from Poldark. The scene in season two, where she's rowing her boat to shore from her, um, freelance fishing gig, while in active labor, and he rushes off to go Bring Her Home, and they argue about who's being more stubborn, all the while their baby is making his way into the world...yeah, that's the stuff.

For classic shippy vibes, I will never give up on Barney and Robin from How I Met Your Mother. Finale denier for life, true story.
