EC Spurlock’s comfort read rankings

EC Spurlock in A Definitive Ranking of Every One of Julia Quinn’s Bridgertons Books

The Bridgertons are my comfort read; I can't tell you how many crises they've gotten me through! I agree with most of your rankings except I'd personally reverse your #1 and #2; When He Was Wicked is my favorite just because the relationship and tension between Michael and Francesca is so electric, and it's so wonderful to see Francesca slowly breaking out of her propriety and becoming a little wicked herself.

carmenlire found a new love

carmenlire in What Was the Last Book You Shouldn’t Have Liked But Did?

I'm not a fan of the lord and ward trope. It ususally kinda creeps me out. But I love Sarah Maclean and had already fell in love with the hero's best friend from the first book in her scandal series, so I went ahead and read hist story, A Scot in the Dark. It didn't disappoint! I think it helped that the ward was older and it was trademark Maclean with the humor and amazing writing!

Scarlettleigh missed the secondary romance

Scarlettleigh in Is the Secondary Romance on the Way Out?

Susan Elizabeth Phillips always had a secondary romance — and she really has some hilarious scenarios. However with her last couple of books, there hasn't been a secondary couple and I missed that.

One of my favorite secondary romance was April's story (the hero's mother) in Natural Born Charmer.
