Did You Give or Receive Any Books This Holiday Season?

Earlier this week, Jill Shalvis stopped by to offer suggestions of some of her favorite romances as gifts for all the ladies in your squad. Books are such a great gift (in our opinion), and so we hope you got a pile full!

Did you give or receive any books this holiday season? How about a gift card to stock up your TBR pile? What do you plan to buy?

Tell me about it in the comments!

I gave my kids books for Christmas (the kid version of Hidden Figures), and I gave my dad a book, too (Brief Lessons in Physics). And I gave myself a lot of books, particularly by Grace Burrowes!

Let's see ~ I gave
to a grand nephew, aged nine: Math Curse by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith
to my brother-in-law: Thing Explainer: Complicated Stuff in Simple Words by Randall Munroe and What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions by Randall Munroe
to my husband: Two Years Before The Mast by Richard Henry Dana, Sails on the Horizon: A Novel of the Napoleonic Wars by Jay Worrall, and An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth: What Going to Space Taught Me About Ingenuity, Determination, and Being Prepared for Anything by Chris Hadfield
to my daughter: Ishmael (Star Trek, No 23) by Barbara Hambly and The Captain's Daughter (Star Trek) by Peter David

I received three Thea Harrison novellas that I'd been wishing to read: Dragos Goes to Washington, Pia Does Hollywood, and Liam Takes Manhattan (Elder Races)
I also received First to Burn (Immortal Vikings Book 1) by Anna Richland. This is a paranormal romance that I'm eager to read. I really like the author's contemporary novella His Road Home and I'm curious to see what one of her paranormal books is like.
My Loving Vigil Keeping by Carla Kelly.

And my sister sent a VERY healthy Amazon gift card with which to feed my Kindle. Good times ahead!
