The Best New Adult Romances of 2015—Ring in the New (Adult) Year!

Falling Away by Penelope Douglas

New Adult authors had an amazing year redefining this every changing genre. Yes, there is still a lot of angst but considering the age bracket of every changing emotions and life choices, why wouldn’t there be. That angst however, was balanced off by playful banter. More charismatic characters ranging from alpha males to nerdy heroes, sassy heroines to the girl next door, we had it all. These are just some of MY favorites from my monthly NA best bets round up.

Falling Away by Penelope Douglas has Jax finding his HEA. A jack of all trades, Jax quickly stole your heart and then proceeded to sweep you off your feet. K.C is his unlikely heroine. With K.C. coming back into town for reasons beyond her control, he’s finally able to make a move on the girl he’s never forgotten. But will she be able to handle his secrets? Page-turning and with so much intrigue I couldn’t handle myself!

Fighting Silence by Aly Martinez is a gut-wrenching story that spans years, a friends-to-lovers story that takes many twisted turns. Be prepared with some hard liquor and tissues on hand because you’re in for a wild ride.

The Deal by Elle Kennedy, I can’t gush enough over The Deal! With its amazing one-liners, clever banter and incredibly charismatic characters, I laughed from beginning to end. Pulling off an amazing balancing act between angst and humor is what made this book so great.

Deep by Kylie Scott

Deep by Kylie Scott is the end of the so loved Stage Dive series. Stage Dive captured so many hearts and I’m front row and center of that group. While I was sad to see them go, Deep provided a great goodbye for the fans. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love in every book! Ben and Lizzy’s story is one of a lot of turmoil and quick decision making that changes their lives. Opposites collide to weave an epic story of new beginnings.

Once Pure by Cecy Robson played my heartstrings like an expert musician. Sofia and Killian were BOTH in a dark place. Combining friends-to-loves and second-chance genres, Once Pure is a testament to bravery, and surviving heinous acts. The last of the Shattered Past series, it ends it on a brilliant beautiful, forgiving note.

For The Win by Brenna Aubrey—so a one night stand happens at Comic Con and insanity ensues. I never thought I would see a plot like that. This was a fun read with a very different setting. I loved Jordan and April and their undeniable chemistry.

Tillie Cole's Souls Unfractured was a highly anticipated edition of the Hades Hangmen series and does not hold back any punches. It went beyond my expectations and truly pushed boundaries. Flame and Maddie are a couple I will always hold dear because of their journey and their strength in each other.

Dark Wild Night by Christina Lauren

Christina Lauren can do no wrong— at least I think so. Hilarious antics, nerd lovers, and a cast of friends that have turned into a family, it’s no wonder I love their writing style, and that's no different in Dark Wild Night. Lola and Oliver were a couple I cheered for since the beginning of the series.

Grayson’s Vow by Mia Sheridan was a departure for Mia Sheridan. It was lighter than the rest of the series but still packed an emotional punch. Kira and Grayson were challenging, they constantly battled on their relationship, for their individual aspirations, etc. It took a couple of knocks for them to realize they worked better together and their challenges makes this read so much fun.

Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher’s Never, Never—yes, this is a novella, but there’s so much packed in that short amount of pages. With so much suspense and action, the plot keeps you hungering for more. I cannot wait for the ending of the series.

This was a great year for New Adult and I’m very excited to see what’s to come in the next year. I hope I finally get some answers in some of my favorite series but also find some new cast of characters to love. While this aren’t all of my favorites, they’re definitely ones that made my year quite a great reading year.
