I never let anyone get too close—but he’s the only man who’s ever made me feel alive.

Meeting Jackson Steele was a shock to my senses. Confident and commanding, he could take charge of any room . . . or any woman. And Jackson wanted me. The mere sight of him took my breath away, and his touch made me break all my rules.

Our bond was immediate, our passion untamed. I wanted to surrender completely to his kiss, but I couldn’t risk his knowing the truth about my past. Yet Jackson carried secrets too, and in our desire we found our escape, pushing our boundaries as far as they could go.

Learning to trust is never easy. In my mind, I knew I should run. But in my heart, I never felt a fire this strong—and it could either save me or scorch me forever.

Say My Name is intended for mature audiences.

Set in the same world as the Stark Trilogy, J. Kenner’s erotica Say My Name brings us a new billionaire bad boy to satisfy those submissive cravings. Alpha? Check. Brilliant? Check. Sexy as hell? Double Check. Meet Jackson Steele, celebrity architect and holder of a complicated history with one Sylvia Brooks, the executive assistant of the powerhouse Damien Stark. Reunited lovers anyone?

Sylvia met Jackson five years ago in Atlanta; it was before she worked for Damien Stark and before he was a much sought after architect. They had an intense and instant connection. Sylvia had never let her guard down in that way before and Jackson had never met his perfect submissive match. A sublime weekend full of boundary breaking sex and heartfelt moments, it was all too much for Sylvia and she made an agonizing decision: she asked Jackson to let her go, so he did. The ramifications of that decision have trickled down to the present, because now Sylvia needs Jackson. She is working on her first big solo project for Stark International in Los Angeles, and the architect just dropped out. Unless she can find a suitable replacement, twitchy investors are going to pull out and the project will be a failure. Will Jackson be the savior that she needs?

Sylvia’s unfortunate background was the reason why she ran from Jackson. As a teenager, she was sexually assaulted over and over again at the hands of a photographer who sometimes used her images for print ads. Those photos brought much needed money into her house, as her brother’s cancer treatments had broken her family financially. She suffered from nightmares which had been in check for a while, until she hooked up with Jackson. She wasn’t ready for him or to share the nature of her nightmares, so she bolted. Sylvia had found ways to cope over the years, and Jackson blew the lid off of her tenuous hold on it. Kenner’s ability to unravel the whole story of Sylvia’s abuse and survival was told with such care and respect for Sylvia. Her abuse was a living, breathing companion on a daily basis, and the only time it disappeared was when she found herself in a submissive position with Jackson.

The Stark world is full of familiar characters that are featured here as well. From the man himself, Damien, to his wife Nikki, and Evelyn the flamboyant Hollywood insider. Sylvia’s universe is changing with the taking on of this huge project, and the fact that Damien Stark has the confidence in her ability is of course gratifying and terrifying. Luckily she also has her best friend since she was a teen, Cass, to lean on. Cass is an ace tattooist who took over her father’s business, and knows about Sylvia’s past. She has also been instrumental in helping Sylvia cope with it.

There were plenty of sexy times to be had in the aptly titled Say My Name. Jackson’s thorough seduction of Sylvia was only offset by her ability to enthrall him as well. He was commanding, polished, and passionate. Jackson was a true alpha male with purpose, and that purpose was to bring Sylvia to her knees (literally and figuratively.) She wasn’t the only one affected by their parting five years ago. Sylvia and Jackson sizzle off of the pages, and his creativity in the bedroom make turning the pages easy. If you are fair skinned, watch out because this is a red-cheek read for sure. If you have been missing some BDSM action with your alpha man with a bit of intrigue to boot, Jackson Steele is your man.
