Endings Bring New Beginnings: New Adult Best Bets for April 2015

Spark by Erin Noelle

A lot of series endings are included in this list but that only leaves room for brand new ones! With endings also come new beginnings and these books herald how what you think is an ending could really just be the start of something amazing.

Spark by Erin Noelle has a unique premise. Forced to look for alternative medicine in order to combat his brother’s severe epilepsy, Crew and his family journey to Colorado. While on the search for new treatment for Caleb, Crew meets a Hudson, a free spirit with a green thumb. When tragedy forces them apart will their new relationship be able to see past the heartbreak?

Until July by Aurora Rose Reynolds continues the saga of the Mayson family from her Until series with the next generation. July Mayson is a feisty heroine that meets her match in the biker Wes. With one of the best meet-cutes I’ve read involving a Taser, you’re in for a fast ride with these two.

Sweet Hope by Tillie Cole is the conclusion to the Sweet Home series. Ally and Elpidio meet when she lands her dream job, as curator of his statues. As the elusive artist begins to get closer to Ally, they both realize their connection is more than just work. Their burning chemistry might go up in flames if the past catches up to them. A great end, it brings everyone together in a spellbinding way.

Lost Prelude by Ella Maise is the start of a new trilogy. Maya returns to NYC to fulfill her father’s final wish. When she checks into her hotel she meets mysterious Alexander. As she’s still dealing with her grief, Alexander becomes an unlikely ally. A novella, it packs quite a punch and the rest of the series promises more to come.

Love Surfaced by Michele Lynn

Love Surfaced by Michele Lynn is a friends-to-lovers story. Piper Ashby has always had the friendship of her twin brother and Tanner to guide her through high school and college. There’s always been an attraction simmering beneath the surface. When push comes to shove will Tanner be able to prove their love is strong enough to pull through?

Elements of Chemistry: Attraction by Penny Reid, opposites attract in this novella. Kaitlyn’s chemistry lab partner is none other than Martin Sandeke, campus heartbreaker. When Kaitlyn saves Martin from what could have been a disastrous affair, he sees her in a new light. Kaitlyn, the mousey nerd, begins emerging as a beautiful woman. This story does come to an abrupt halt but, the next installment promises to be just as fun.

In Unrequited by Jen Frederick, Finn and Winter's MCs have a convoluted history. Now that Finn’s father has passed and he’s stuck in grief, Winter seems to be the only person who can ebb away his grief. The fourth standalone in the Woodlands series, Unrequited has witty banter and wicked chemistry between the two main characters.

Fighting Envy by Jennifer Miller is a quick read between two characters that worked hard to leave their past behind and make new futures. Jax meets Rowan in a pretty sticky situation but they immediately feel a pull towards each other. When life gets tough, they’ll find that their biggest fans will be each other.

The Mad Tatter by JM Darhower has Reece, a convicted felon turned tattoo artist. Avery becomes Reece’s muse and when no one seems to be in his corner, Avery just might surprise him.

Revved by Samantha Towle

Revved by Samantha Towle brings us the to the world of Formula One racing. Carrick is the arrogant bad boy or racing and Andi is the girl mechanic extradinaire. When these two are together, the angst, drama and chemistry is always red hot.

Fall With Me by Jennifer Armentrout/ J.Lynn has suspense and intrigue in this friends-to-lovers addition to her With Me series. Roxy and Reece carry a lot of survivor’s guilt for very different reasons. Neighbors and friends for years, they find solace in each other, but heartbreak occurs. When she’s forced to rely on him, she’ll have to come to terms with the past, especially since she’s receiving numerous threatening messages and he’s the best one to help.

Aflame by Penelope Douglas is a hot ending to the Fall Away series. Jared and Tate are back. After a two-year break, these opposites reunite in a way that burns hotter than ever before. Will old hurts and past demons be put to rest? Tate stands out in as a strong female heroine and Jared will quickly have to prove he’s up for this new challenge.

Asa by Jay Crownover ends the Marked Men series. This southern charmer meets his match in Royal, a cop. This former troublemaker will finally make amends and find peace. But will Royal also be along for the ride? A heartwarming ending with all the gang included, makes this one not to miss.

When I'm Gone by Abbi Glines

Deep by Kylie Scott is the last of the Stage Dive series and I’m sad to see them go. Lizzy and Ben end the quartet with their rather surprising news. Insert the band’s antics, high drama and highly hormonal women makes for a fantastic end to this amazing series.

When I’m Gone by Abbi Glines returns to Rosemary Beach with Mase and Reese. Mase is an alpha cowboy who is drawn to Reese at first glance. Reese is a likeable heroine with a tortured past who steadily works on overcoming her past. An excellent addition to the series, When I’m Gone brings on the angst, suspense and love. Can’t wait for the next one!
