Throwback Thursday: What Was Your First Holiday Romance?

We love holiday romances!

You might've read a traditional Regency romance holiday story, a paranormal holiday novella, an erotic tale, or a sweet contemporary—as long as there's mistletoe and smooching, it's perfect for this time of year.

So we want to know—what's the first holiday romance you recall?

A Christmas Promise and A Christmas Bride by Mary Balogh are both favorites for me. I thoroughly enjoyed Jo Beverly's Christmas Angel.
Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe by Jenny Colgan. Debbie Macombers Mrs. Miracle, A Season of Angels and The Trouble with Angels.

I'm sure that Mad Earl's Bride by Loretta Chase is not the first holiday theme story that I read, but it's the most memorable. I love the take charge heroine.

Oops, I read that as favorit. One should never post before finishing their caffeine intake. (When is the IV coming out? I've been waiting for years for that!) I think it was actually Christmas Angel (1992) or maybe A Season of Angels. (1993) I would have to say though that these are more the first I remember. I can't believe I didn't read any before then. . .

I think it may have been the first one I read and it is on my holiday keeper shelf ... A Regency Christmas Eve from 2000. The Christmas Thief by Edith Layton is the story I've re-read the most in the collection which also has stories by Nancy Butler, Allison Lane, Barbara Metzger and Diane Farr. I have read few holiday romances until recently. We won't talk about what I have on my Kindle this year ....

A Wallflower Christmas by Lisa Kleypas. I read it the day it came out I was so excited for a new Walflower book!
