Romance News Roundup: Free Historical Read, William/Kate, and More!

It's Tea Time Afternoon Tea bannerWelcome to H&H's brand-new daily news roundup! Grab a mug of tea and a scone and let's gossip about what's hot in the romance world right now.

—Cecilia Grant has released A Christmas Gone Perfectly Wrong, a novella in her Blackshear series, and it is free right now at Amazon.  (We have no idea how long it will be free, so grab it while you can.)

—Fans of Stephanie Tyler's Section 8 romantic suspense series will be happy to hear a deal has been announced for two more books in the series (so books 4 and 5) for a 2016 estimated release.

—And in yet more exciting book news, two more books in Jackie Ashenden's Nine Circles contemporary romance series are also in the works for 2016.

—In case you missed it in October, here's a link to Entertainment Weekly's (largely positive) article on the romance genre, “A Billion-Dollar Affair.”

—See the first trailer for Anna Kendrick's big-screen musical The Last Five Years (warning: no HEA)

—President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama's loving relationship seems to be the stuff of romance novels, so it only makes sense that a movie about their courtship is reportedly in the works. Two tickets, please!

—Speaking of fairy-tale romances, our favorite British royals, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (a.k.a. Prince William and Kate Middleton), are currently in New York City. Can it be 3 years since we liveblogged their wedding?! See Duchess Kate meet NYC First Lady Chirlane McCray:

Am I the only person who finds William and Kate very very boring? I mean good luck to them and their family but I wouldn't be bothered if there was never another news article about their lives.

The one celebrity couple I'm weirdly invested in (and this might make a good H&H feature, "who do you obsess over", LOL) is Brad and Angie. I just so desperately want them to have an HEA (and I don't know why). I get really bummed every time I see those gossip rags headings such as "It's Over" or "Brad walks out". I always wish they could be left alone.

@wsl0612 -- I'm the complete opposite. I could not care less about Brangelina, but am an avid royal watcher.

Thanks for the link to the EW piece, I've been looking for it.
