I'm not sure but I do think it was Lion's Lady. I resisted it for a long while . . thinking it just sounded dumb. And I don't know what made me change my mind. . . nothing to read or another reader stating it was great? But I was hooked.

The Lion's Lady was my first Julie Garwood book. Her and Johanna Lindsey got me started on historical romances in high school. The Bride, The Secret, Honor's Splendor and Ransom are my favorite Julie Garwood books. I've read them all multiple times.

I can't remember the title, but it was the one that opens with the two best friends in a fair and one gets stung by a bee and they swear to be BBF. I loved the humor of that book!

I picked up The Wedding by Garwood at Borders around 7 years ago!

I am pretty sure it was The Gift because I was reading a lot of medievals at the time. I remember reading The Lion's Lady around the same time as I was buying a lot of paperbacks on my weekly visit to my favorite bookstore. Have not read any of the Garwood contempories.

My first Julie Garwood book was Honor's Splendour. It's still one of my favorites.

My first was The Secret and it's still one of my favorite books. Ransom, however, is my absolute favorite Julie Garwood book.

The Wedding was my first JG book (2000), and ten years almost to the day when I first read it, I was reintroduced to all her books. I've been hooked on historicals ever since.

My first and favorite was always Saving Grace. I have always loved The Secret, The Bride, The Wedding and Ransom, and I will never forget The Gift. I go back to these books when I need to be reminded of how love and real relationships used to work. :)

My first Julie Garwood was either The Bride or The Secret, I love both of them but can't remember which one I read first. I've read almost all of her books, even the contemporaries, but my favorites will always be the historical ones.

The Prize, I still adore that book so much!
