Colin Firth’s Mr. Darcy Immortalized in Polystyrene and Fiberglass

Imagine heading out for a day of being outdoors, only to see a more than lifesize statue of Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy in the infamous wet shirt scene rising out of the water.

Australians will get that very chance, now that the National Trust of Australia has acquired the statue, which will be on display as part of as part of an exhibition titled “Love, Desire and Riches” celebrating wedding couture from the 18th to 21st century.

The statue was previously on display in a lake in the United Kingdom. The scene which inspired the statue was was voted the “most memorable British TV drama moment of all time” in a survey ran by UKTV.

What other memorable British TV moments would you like to see immortalized?

If I wanted to die of sorrow and get kicked in the feels: Rose Tyler saying goodbye to the Doctor! I can see it now...a statue on the beaches of Cardiff! Alternatively, I don't know how this would play out in artform, but if I wanted to have my feels removed, bashed in, and then put back into my body:

@JenniferProffitt, ...there are no beaches in Cardiff, only mudflats & tide fields courtesy of the Taff. The beach you're dreaming about is Southerdown beach in Dunraven Bay, which is in the Vale of Glamorgan near Barry ( Gavin & Stacey fans will recognise Barry)
