Hog Wild: Best Erotic Motorcycle Club Romances by Sheehan, Wylde, Ashley and More!

Undeniable by Madeline SheehanThanks to the allure of gritty television shows such as Sons of Anarchy (and their hot eye-candy stars like Charlie Hunnam) the Motorcycle Club lifestyle has become a popular subject of interest. Recently MC erotica has created a rabid fanbase. They perfectly exemplify the alpha-male bad-boy (who may or may not be on the wrong side of the law) and the MC lifestyle has a subversive set of rules where the men go to work and the women keep the home fires (or bedroom sheets or wherever is handy) burning. Sometimes these stories are more traditionally romanticised, and sometimes they are dark and epic. Here are the ones to put at the very top of your TBR pile:

Madeline Sheehan, Undeniable series
This series is the litmus test for reality in the MC world. The research has been done, and you can see it reflected in the settings, the characters, and the language they use. None of these stories are pretty little walks on the wild side; each couple’s story spans time, tragedy, and mistakes. In Undeniable, Deuce and Eva met when she was 5, he was 23, and they were both visiting their fathers in prison. They continued to cross paths over time, and all the while they loved each other and hurt each other. It was an emotional rollercoaster for the reader as well as the characters, and the hits keep coming with the other books in the series.

Reaper's Property by Joanna WyldeJoanna Wylde, Reapers MC series
Another well researched and gritty series featuring a hero named Horse. (At this point one could drop the mic and walk away, but then you would miss all the good stuff!) In the first book of the series, Reaper’s Property, Marie finds herself in a predicament. After leaving her abusive husband, she stays with her brother to collect herself. Her brother has some rough associates-the Reaper’s MC. When he steals from them, Horse decides to collect taking Marie.

Lili St. Germain, Gypsy Brothers series
This serial is a good old fashioned revenge drama. When she was 15, innocent Juliette Portland was raped, brutally beaten, and almost killed by Dornan Ross and six of his sons. His seventh and youngest son Jase, was her first real boyfriend and made to watch the brutality. Dornan killed Juliette's father and took over leadership of the Gypsy Brothers MC. Juliette was hidden away and now, six years later, Juliette is back for revenge and plans to take out Dornan and his sons. She gets plastic surgery, contacts, extensions, and becomes Dornan's favorite toy. Now known as Sammi, she has nothing but revenge on her mind, and is planning on taking them all out, one by one. But she still has to figure out her attraction to Jase.

Nicole Jacquelyn, Craving Constellations
The first book in this series is about Brenna, an MC brat who decides to go away to college and live the mainstream life. She casually dates an affluent and politically connected schoolmate, but on a visit home she hooks up with Dragon...a Prospect who was celebrating his official initiation into the club that night. He didn’t know she was off limits because her dad was the VP, and she didn’t tell him. Five years later, Brenna flees her abusive husband and returns to the MC with Dragon’s child.

Jamie Begley, The Last Riders series
In Razer’s Ride, Beth hooks up with Razer and is completely out of her depth. The Last Riders MC has just moved to the outskirts of Beth’s small town, so the locals are suspicious and wary. Beth typifies the small town good girl and Razer refuses to change his wild MC ways, so Beth decides to leave him to it. She ends up back in the MC fold however, when her life is in danger and the MC protects her. Now it’s up to Razer to make sure he can keep her this time.

Fire Inside by Kristen AshleyKristen Ashley, Chaos series
Kristen Ashley has written some of my favorite alpha males, and in the Chaos MC series, she strikes gold again. This narrative spans three years in the lives of young Tabby, the daughter of Chaos MC President Tack Allen, and Shy Cage, a member that has been around for a while, despite his age. Tabby has had a crush on him since she was a teen, but as a young adult she is rebelling against the world-and the MC members cover her antics up by picking her up when she gets in trouble and keeping it from Tack. One night, Shy gets the call for pick up, and it changes the course of their lives.

Honorable Mentions:
Kim Jones, Saving Dallas series
I thoroughly enjoyed this delicious twist of good girl/bad boy. In Saving Dallas, Dallas Knox is a driven corporate real estate tycoon at the tender age of 26. She decides to blow some steam by going to a local bar with the idea to pick up a boy toy for the night. She ends up getting Luke Carmical, President of the Devil’s Renegade MC. Luke definitely displays his alpha tendencies, but he throws curveballs of tenderness and vulnerability. I ate every bit up like a bag of Skittles.

Kit Rocha, Beyond series
The O’Kanes aren’t really an MC, but they are lead by Dallas O’Kane, who is ruler of Sector Four in this dystopian erotica series. The first book of the series, Beyond Shame, introduces us to innocent Noelle who is tossed out of the posh Eden into the Sectors. Luckily for her, she literally falls into the arms of Jasper, the right hand of Dallas O’Kane. Embraced into the O’Kane fold, she learns to be empowered by her wants, need, and sexuality. Now she just has to use that power to get Jasper…

I would add the MC Sinners series by Bella Jewel.

Thanks! I had it on my list, but lower. Loved the first book but didn't connect with the second. Maybe I'll add the third to my list and give it another whirl!
3. carmenlire
I'm not familiar with MC books but all of these sound spectacular!

I am so freakin' obsessed with MC romances, that it's a little scary! I would ad Stephanie Tyler's Defiance MC series--it's dystopic erotic New Adult. Bella Jewel is also great. I'd throw in the upcoming Desert Dogs series by Cara McKenna and in a way, Julie Anne Walker's biker series.

There's also Storm MC series by Nina Levine, CM Stunich's New Adult Biker series, and Under Locke by Mariana Zapata. My favorite of all of these mentioned is Reaper's MC by Joanna Wylde. I'm OBSESSED with that series and I cannot WAIT until the next one comes out!

I loved Defiance! I actually have no idea why I didn't have it on the list. I'm ready to stock up my tbr pile with the other ones you mentioned!

Under Locke was mentioned in Brittany Melson's New Adult Roundup a few months ago and I read it in about one sitting. It takes a lighter tone than most New Adult (especially New Adult bikers) takes. Hmm, MC's are my crack lately! I'll be adding a few of your picks to my list too.

I've been hesitant about the Lili St. Germain series, any thoughts on it?

@Jennifer - I read the first of the Lili St. Germain. It's very difficult to really express my thoughts, it's so dark and really awful circumstances. It's like trying to imagine romance in the context of the worst horror film. But the writing is good and I am (at least at this point) really interested in how she will pull off a convincing ending if she's going to put together an expected "happier" ending for the heroine. I can't even say HEA because I just can't imagine an Ever After at this point.

I got the first book as an Amazon freebie and I was taken by surprise. I think it definitely appeals to the (obvious) affection I have for Pam Grier and all of her 70's kick-ass revenge movies. Its well written and you are cheering for this girl all the way. The bad guys in this serial are REALLY bad. Terrible. As bad as they are is as much Jase is a sweetheart; her ex/best friend is an awesome sidekick.

As soon as I finished the freebie I immediately one-clicked the second . I didn't even stop to do a review when I almost ALWAYS do that so I won't confuse myself.

@wsl0612: That was my thought on the vibe I've gotten. I think the aforementioned Brittany Melson (hmmm, but maybe the erotics recommendation, I could be confusing myself) has talked about it in the same roundup in which I got Under Locke, however, I just can't see myself enjoying the St. Germain. I really do need an HEA, or at least a HFN (happy for now).

@BoxyFrown, as I was saying with wsl0612, I need at least an HFN, but if it's compelling enough that you just found yourself devouring them, that might be good enough for me to try it. I just feel if I got started and then it twisted into a noir sort of ending...I would struggle to not implode. Lol. But I do love me a kick-ass heroine... and I feel like this book might be more true to biker culture and the standing of women within that community.

If Sammi cant get her revenge and her man I might implode, too! Hopefully after dragging us along for 7 novellas Jase and Sammi get an HEA. Now Im nervous!! lol

I've been enjoying Kristen Ashley's books. Thanks for the other suggestions.
13. wsl0612
@BoxyFrown & Jennifer - I just fear that with all of Sammi's past trauma and what she's doing now to get her revenge, can Lili pull off a convincing HFN at the very least? That's the nail-biter. But it is a very, very good read!

You're welcome! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

You got it! So far I'm still a believer and so happy that LSG didn't turn Sammi's ex into a love triangle.

I enjoy Kathryn Kelly's MC romances and can't wait for her next one, Misunderstood. I also love Madeline Sheehan, JoAnna Wylde and Kristen Ashley books.

Thanks for mentioning the Kit Rocha books. I think they are vastly underrated/unmentioned, probably because they don't neatly fit into any of the standard genres. They are set in the future but they aren't sci fi. Some of the characters ride bikes, but they aren't MC books. One "couple" is a triad, and the two men actually love/have sex with each other instead of the more standard no boy touching, which seems to be de rigueur in romance. The gender politics are fascinating, where all the men are alphas, but so are some (but not all) of the women.

I'd add Susan Fanetti's books to your list. There are two interlocking series: Signal Bend, which features the Night Horde MC

and The Night Horde SoCal, in which an affiliated Club comes to be a Chapter of the original Night Horde.

Each book is a full length novel and the series have seven and six books, respectively. They're dark, extremely dark in one or two cases, but extremely well-written and by hook or by crook have an HEA in each case. Not quite as much variety in the dynamic between the man and woman in each couple as in the Rocha books but the characters are characters instead of Barbie and GI Joe stand-ins, a real problem I have with a bunch of sloppily written MC books, of which there are thousands.

Thanks for the rec! I haven't heard of Susan Fanetti before so I am definitely adding these to the TBR pile!
