What’s Your Favorite Holiday Romance Film?

It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn, White Christmas, The Holiday, Christmas in Connecticut—there are so many films that take place on or around the holidays it's hard to choose just one favorite.

But what the heck, let's try. What's your favorite holiday romance film?

Love Actually has to be up there for me, except for the awful segment with Laura Linney and her brother. That part makes my heart hurt, but the rest is fabulous.

Love Actually is also up there for me and I watch White Christmas every year with my mom.

I had a friend in college who said his favorite Christmas movie was Die Hard (not a romance, and not really Christmas either).

I love Love Actually , White Christmas and Scrooged. But I also love Die Hard and I would argue that is it a Christmas movie with romantic elements. The movie takes place during the Christmas holidays, at a Christmas party and it includes the reconciliation of an estranged married couple. So, for me at least, Die Hard is a Christmas movie and is always on my holiday watching list.

White Christmas. I just adore that movie. And I enjoy how Love, Actually quite a lot. It's romantic but not pound you over the head sappy.

Without fail I must watch Elf and Love Actually. We also try to make it to the theatre to see Santaland Diaries (the theatrical version of David Sedaris' short story about working as an Elf at Macy's) every year too. Gotta balance the pros and cons of the season.
