Turn and Burn by Lorelei JamesIn need of some sexy reading material to fill your e-reader? I’m here for you. Each month I will bring you an assortment of erotic pleasure reads to tempt your palate—and your credit card....

August might be the beginning of the end to those hot summer nights, but it certainly doesn’t stop the sultry heat that explodes from the erotic offerings this month.

Turn and Burn by Lorelei James

Tanna Barker is a world champion barrel racer. But her personal life has been less of a success, and she’s feeling adrift. After her mother’s unexpected death, her father has remarried, and sold the Texas ranch she called home. Now a rodeo injury has left the restless spitfire holed up in Muddy Gap, unsure what her next move should be.

Until she meets her match in a wild, wild cowboy.

Veterinarian August Fletcher has always put his job first. He’s never found a woman who could handle his on-the-road lifestyle. But when sassy, sexy Tanna blows into town, he finally finds the woman of his fantasies. And there’s something between them, but she claims she’s been burned by love ’em and leave ’em road dogs before. How can Fletch prove that he’s in it for the long haul, and that their sizzling relationship is better than winning any rodeo medal? It’ll take some sweet persuasion to convince Tanna that Muddy Gap is where she belongs.

Turn and Burn is the fifth installment in Lorelei James’s Blacktop Cowboy series, a wild and steamy erotic romance adventure that pits strong willed heroines against sexy alpha males in a fun often raunchy battle of the wills that leads them straight to bed. Well written with witty dialogue, strong characters, and emotionally stirring storylines. Plenty of humor and sex made this story a joy to read.

Life has never been easy for Duncan Stiel. His childhood was the stuff of nightmares, and his day job as an undercover police officer forces him to hide his true self and occasionally lands him in the hospital. So when he finally meets the perfect man, it comes as no surprise that everything falls apart around him. What Duncan doesn’t expect is that the hardest hurdle to get over before he can make a life with Aaron Sutter is the one inside himself.

Everyone thinks Aaron has it all—looks, money, fame, and success beyond measure. Everyone, that is, except Aaron. At the end of the day, the cameras stop flashing, friends go back to their own lives, company business is handled, and Aaron is always alone. The moment he meets Duncan Stiel, Aaron knows he’ll do anything to hold onto the larger-than-life detective. But when he realizes money won’t buy him the ultimate happiness, Aaron needs to find the strength to give Duncan something much more important—his heart.

Parting Shot is the seventh book in Mary Calmes erotic m/m romance Matter Of Time series. Heartfelt emotional scenes are the result, as these two men fight everything and everyone for their chance at love. Though part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

A woman with no future… Live fast, die young–anything else is a fantasy for Six. She’s endured the worst the sectors had to throw at her, but falling in with Dallas O’Kane’s Sector Four gang lands her in a whole new world of danger. They’re completely open about everything, including their sexuality–but she hasn’t survived this long by making herself vulnerable. Especially not to men as dominant as Brendan Donnelly.

A man without a past… Bren is a killer, trained in Eden and thrown to the sectors. His one outlet is pain, in the cage and in the bedroom, and emotion is a luxury he can’t afford–until he meets Six. Protecting her soothes him, but it isn’t enough. Her hunger for touch sparks a journey of erotic discovery where anything goes–voyeurism, flogging, rough sex. He has only one rule: he won’t share her. In Bren’s arms, Six is finally free to let go. But his obsession with the man who made him a monster could destroy the fragile connection they’ve forged, and cost him the one thing that makes him feel human–her love.

Kit Rocha has done it again with the third installment of their Beyond series, Beyond Pain. Set in a post apocalyptic world of drugs, gangs, sex, and violence, Beyond Pain brings us the story of an abused woman and the man she chooses to set her mind and body free.

When trying to save a woman from slavers, Sam screwed up. Royally. Now Linda wants nothing to do with him. Or with BDSM. She won’t even admit she’s a masochist. As a dominant and sadist, he can give her what she needs, and when an opportunity arises, he slips into her life, intending to make amends. She’s everything he knew she would be…except for her bullheaded determination to be ‘normal’.

Now the horrible time is past, Linda just wants to return to her small conservative town, pick up her quiet life, and be normal. But how can someone who likes pain be ‘normal’? To her dismay, when someone spray-paints her home with obscenities, Sam shows up to rescue her. Again. Doesn’t he understand that the last thing she needs in her life is a sadist? He’s amused by her objections. But his dry sense of humor can’t disguise that he’s tough as nails and dominant and stubborn. He’s not going to let her drive him off this time. Soon she realizes she wants him to stay. When he takes her to the Shadowlands, she feels as if she’s found a home…until she hears a voice from out of her nightmares.

Cherise Sinclair brings us an emotional love story that addresses the normality in the need to give and receive pain between two consensual adults in her seventh installment of the Masters Of The Shadowlands series. A suspenseful plot ups the tension as our hero fights to give his lover back her self esteem and eventually...her life.

Great recommendations! I love anything by Cherise Sinclair. She rocks and I think I've re-read her books a hundred times. I finally read her two shifter stories last week and I already want to re-read them.

I've heard great things about Lorelei James and requested the first two books in her Blacktop Cowboy series. I'm anxiously awaiting the email saying it's in!

And of course, Kit Rocha...the O'Kane's have me wishing for the world to end. :)

I just got the Kit Rocha, and I'm intrigued by the Monica Murphy. It looks different from the usual billionaires gone wild books.

'Turn and Burn' was the best of the series so far. She writes very believeable characters with deep back stories. I highly reccomend them.
I will try Cherie's Sinclair I've heard good things about her.
