The First Thor: The Dark World Trailer is Here!

SQUEE! Just a few days after the first poster was released, Marvel has gifted us the first trailer from Thor: The Dark World, with delicious teases of a) a love triangle b) an ultimate sacrifice c) Thor's awesomely huge hammer (!) and d) Loki and Thor's literal bromance!

Thor: The Dark World is out in theaters November 8, 2013.

Ok couple of things, I still have my fingers crossed that this may introduce Stephen Strange, and the floating truck at the beginning makes me even more excited. While I'm not thrilled over the idea of more relationship angst between Thor and Jane, I'm curious to see what Loki does with it. It'd be a new way to get at his brother, and then there is that whole Loki covets whatever Thor wants, be it Earth, a hug from dad...

Okay, I can't wait for this! It looks awesome in every way--a little leery of the hair situation what with Thor's "battle half up-do" and Loki's curling locks, but hey, Loki's in prison I guess his hair is allowed to not look as awesome as before.

I kind of want Jane to go away, as much as I like Natalie Portman. Personally I ship Thor and that one Asgardian chick that I always forget the name of. With the stink eye she gave Jane in the trailer (or we assume she did with clever editing) I think she agrees with me :P

When it comes to seeing Thor and Loki, I am totally shallow (esp. Loki). I don't care about anything but their interactions.

Despite my Avengers obsession, I didn't think I'd be as excited about this standalone, but I gotta say, this trailer impressed me. Those dirty looks Sif kept throwing were epic!

ETA: This new Thor-Loki dynamic ("When you betray me, I will kill you.") is hot hot hot.

I'm so excited!! *dances*

I am a bit bummed that I'm still not feeling Portman as Jane. I like Jane as a character. I like Portman in general. Just not working for me here. Sif on the other hand...

@juliabroadbooks -- I feel the same way about Jane/Natalie Portman. Sif is awesome; hope we see more of her than in the first movie.

I'm with @Megan all the way. Call me shallow. It's all about the brothers and that tension/snark for me. But I'm team Loki so...

Bottom line: less Portman more Loki. And I'm sure we'll all be pleased with THOR/Hemsworth's screen time. Trailer looks better than anything in theatres now. Day Made H&H! Thx!!
