How Many Series Do You Actively Follow? (and Which Ones are They?)

With many fans counting down the days until J.R. Ward releases Lover at Last, Book 12 in her Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and other (and some of the same!) fans waiting for the blurb to be released for Nalini Singh's Heart of Obsidian, the twelfth book (coincidentally enough) in her Psy/Changeling series, it's clear that series books show no signs of ebbing in popularity with readers.

If you read romance, you've no doubt read a book in a series. But the question for today is, how many series do you actively follow? And which ones?

Wow. So many to list. BDB and Fallen Angels - J.R. Ward, LOTU - Gena Showalter, Demonica and LOD - Larissa Ione, Guild Hunter Series - Nalini Singh, House of Comarre - Kristen Painter, Imortal Instruments - Cassandra Clare... Theres probably about five or six more that I follow.

Uf, a lot:
Psy/Changeling and Guild Hunter by Nalini Singh
Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews
Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega by Patty Briggs
I don't know if stories about Dani are considered part of KMM's Fever series or a new series completely- either way.
Iron Seas by Meljan Brook
Kit Colbana and FBI Psychics by Shiloh Walker
Cut & Run by Abigail Roux
PsyCop by Jordan Castillo Price
Maiden Lane by Elizabeth Hoyt
Spindle Cove by Tessa Dare
Jack Caffery by Mo Hayder
Smokey Barret by Cody McFadyen
Lacey Flint by S.J.Bolton
Joe O'Loughlin by Michael Robotham
There are more, but those are my favorites from every genre...

I have to admit to not really wanting to go count, for fear of being overwhelmed, but:

Butcher's Dresden Files
Mercy Thompson
Fallen Angels
Kate Daniels
Downside Ghosts
Elizabeth Hoyt's various series
Larissa Ione's various series
Tessa Dare
currently reading Richelle Mead's VA
Karen Marie Moning
Amanda Bonilla
Jenn Bennett
Rachel Vincent's Bound series
Mira Grant
Seanan McGuire
Jo Nesbo (non-romance)
Benjamin Hambly (non-romance)
Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe series (non-romance)
Nell Sweeney series (non-romance)

And that doesn't include the series that I've read that have ended. Plus that was just about ten minutes' worth of thinking.

I have a problem.

I'm counting only the ones I pre-order and then read promptly, as in within a week or so:

Eileen Wilks' Lupi
Marjorie Liu's Dirk & Steele
Barbara Hambly's Benjamin January mysteries
Naomi Novik's Temeraire fantasies

I follow a bunch of other series, but I might get behind a book or two, or wait a little while to buy the next one.
Allison Hickman

Stacia Kane’s Downside
JR Ward’s Black Dagger
Josh Lanyon’s English (although sadly no more books are planned right now)
Abigail Roux’s Cut & Run (although I’m not sure I’ll stick with it)
Karen Marie Moning’s Fever
Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega
Jordan Castillo Price PsyCop & Turbulence
Jim Butcher Dresden Files
Kim Harrison The Hollows
Stacey Jay Annabelle Lee
Tere Michaels Faith, Love and Devotion
LB Gregg Romano & Albright
Clay & Susan Griffith Vampire Empire (alhthough sadly no more books planned here)
Kalanya Price Alex Craft & Kita Nekai

Then there are all the series I’ve been reading for years now that aren't romance related in any way, which I can’t even name because there are too many! I agree with MFrampton, I think I have a problem!

I actively follow a lot of series. Ok, I have a confession to make... I don't 'follow' series, as such. I have a tendency to binge on books, so I like to get a whole lot at once! I just don't have the patience to wait on new releases....
....saying that, I'm waiting on the next Charley Davidson book, the next monster MASH and a few others. ALL the fault of H&H of course! =D
