Who Was Your First...Werewolf?

On Monday, we asked you who your first vampire was—so of course we have to also ask who your first werewolf was. Was it when you first saw American Werewolf in London? Underworld's Michael? Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series? Or maybe you can't remember anything before True Blood's Alcide.

Who was your first furry shapeshifter?

My first werewolf was Adam Hauptman from the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs.

I think my first werewolf was Richard from LKH's Anita Blake books. When I think back to those books I remember him as being whiny and depressing, like the Eyeore of werewolves.
Alcide was my secord werewolf and I love him. I love him long time.

In movies I'm very old-school on this one. Lon Chaney, Jr. wasn't hot, but he was tragic as Lawrence Talbot in The Wolf Man.

In literature I don't recall a "first", but my favorite is Sgt. Angua from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, even if she does sometimes wear a flea collar.

I think...Remus Lupin? Or, I suppose, American Werewolf in London. For some reason this one doesn't stick in my head the same way the vampires did.

Elena and Clay from Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series.

I guess the first werewolf was American Werewolf in London, but the first werewolf that made me sit up an beg would be Cythia Eden's Det. Colin Gyth in Hotter After Midnight. He makes me raise my hand and scream "Bite ME!"

My first werewolf was Richard from LKH's Anita Blake series. I did like Richard at the beginning, but later...meh. Though he is getting better a little! :) The first werewolf I loved was Jason from the same series. Can you say sexy stripper werewolf? And I love his sense of humor and that he's really astute, too. Love Jason!

I can think of lots, but the first one I went swoony over was probably Michael from Underworld.

However, it took me three times to make this comment because I just kept replaying that clip of Alcide dropping his pants. I swear, he could turn a girl from fangbanger to furbanger in a heartbeat.

I think the Harry Potter books were my first exposure to werewolves in anything except for fairy tales. But the Mercy Thompson series was my introduction to Urban Fantasy, and what a wonderful introduction it was!

The first werewolves I met in print were the various types in the Dresdenverse. However, the first werewolf-centric series I read was Patrician Briggs' Alpha And Omega, which led me to the Mercy Thompson books. Charles Cornick, the Marrok's son and hitman, is hot!
