Summer Solstice: What is Your Longest Day Read?

No Ordinary Summer by Linda Barrett

Today is the official start of summer, with the summer solstice kicking off at 7:09pm EST. It’s the longest day of the year! And we know you’d like to spend your extra daylight hours reading—obviously—but what are you reading?

Is it contemporary romance, historical romance, romantic suspense, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, or erotic? If someone stopped you right now and asked what you thought of your current read, what would you say?

Share any and everything you’d like to share on the longest day of the year (to read!)

I'm finishing the YA book For Darkness Shows the Stars right now and then plan to start Elizabeth Hoyt's The Raven Prince because of the commenters who said Hoyt is an auto-buy for them on the recent First Look (obviously I MUST know why!).

Early this morning, I finished up Mary Balogh's Simply Perfect for, like, the tenth time --- love the story of the Marquess and the anti-nobility schoolmarm and the little blind girl. Now I'm re-reading Balogh's Simply Love (same series, earlier book) just for the thrill of Sydnam getting The Letter from Anne and also getting something to live for.

I am finally getting to read Sarah MacLean's A Rogue By Any Other Name, a really awesome historical. And, of course, all I want to do is go sit inside with AC and an iced coffee and read.

So I'm at work.

Summer put me in the mood for some contemporary, so I started On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves on recommendation. I have about 20 pages to end and it's unbelievable. How did I not hear about this book before...?!
@redline_ Elizabeth Hoyt became my auto-buy author because of The Raven Prince, so it's a great choice. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

My current read is Lorelei James' All Jacked Up, so erotica, but I am also reading Susan Mallery's Summer Nights. Probably will switch back and forth as the evening progresses.

I'm finally getting around to Julia Quinn's A Night Like This. And then I'll start the YA Take A Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg.
