The Game of Thrones Brings Out The Ladies

Just released, a new clip from the forthcoming second season of Game of Thrones. This clip is purportedly geared towards attracting a female audience (because we need our fantasy specially marketed for women? Eyeroll!), but it has to be said, there are plenty of intriguing new women who will be joining the Game: There’s Brienne of Tarth, Ygritte—a Wildling spearswife, Melisandre—a Shadowbinder of R’hllor, Yara Greyjoy (named Asha in the books, renamed here to avoid confusing her with Osha, and Margaery Tyrell.

Are you as excited for April 1, when the show debuts, as some of H&H’s staff are?

I can't wait for it! I'm anxious to see if the show will remain as good as the 1st season was. After all, they've set very high standards and us, viewers, become demanding, hahaha!
As to attracting female audience, mh mh, not enough naked men here, folks! Lol, just kidding, but more seriously I'm wondering if Khal Drogo's death _ and thus, Jason Momoa disappearance from the show _ will not lessen the female audience. I, for instance, came to see the show just because he was in (and because I liked the story, but Momoa really was the decisive argument, I'm such a wanton ^^), and I was devastated when he died (having read George Martin's books, I knew he would of course, but still, pfew). I will keep on watching the show, but it won't be the same :)

Hubs and I had a Game of Thrones marathon last week. We had never watched any of this and caught it from the beginning. WOW - WOW!! Great stuff. I for one, minority, not impressed with Jason Momoa's grunts and won't be disappointed that he's gone. Plenty of other candy to feast on.
