One-Year Anniversary Gift: Paper!

Today we’re marching around the office proclaiming Happy First Birthday, H&H!, and we’re thrilled to be here sharing the love—literally—with the romance community.

One year ago, we offered posts for the day, including I (Don’t) Heart You: Carnation Hate Mail, It’s Not Me, It’s You: Breaking Up With An Author, Nothing Says Love Like Victorian Excess, and To Die For: Gifts For Your Vampire Lover.

The traditional gift for a first anniversary is paper, and what could be more perfect than that for book lovers? (We’d accept chocolate as well, but that should go without saying).

What book would you choose to give as an anniversary gift?

The first book I loved for the power of it's romance was Gone With the Wind...old school but an awesome book!!!

Because it's such a nice mix of mystery AND romance--we at Criminal Element would gift H&H the anniversary gift of Deanna Raybourn's first 3 Lady Julia Grey mysteries, the Silent trilogy. Moody, sexy, mysterious...

Happy Blogiversary!

How about "Gawdy Night" by Dorothy L. Sayers? It's got mystery, academia, the climax of a very complex romance and Lord Peter Wimsey!

@sk133g: Gone With The Wind was one of my first romances, too.
And @clare2e, I think I have those Raybourn mysteries on my ereader. Can't beat moody, sexy, and mysterious as descriptors! Thanks.
