Thor 2 and the Lovers Three

Jaimie Alexander as Sif in ThorIt looks like Natalie Portman’s character in Thor, Jane Foster, is in for some competition. Jaimie Alexander, who played Sif, the warrior woman that battled giants with Thor and the Warriors Three, has hinted at a possible love triangle between Portman, Chris “The Thunder God” Hemsworth, and herself. (And you know how H&H likes its triangle discussions...)

In the comics (and myth) Thor and Sif were always together—well, until Odin wiped his son’s memory and made him mortal, that is. Then he fell for Dr. Jane Foster. Of course, at one point Sif inhabited the body of, this could really go on for way too long; we are talking about comics.

I think it would be nice to introduce the triangle. Though I also would love to see more of the Loki/Thor/Sif triangle. I mean, Loki’s jealousy of his brother’s way with the ladies is why Sif is a brunette, after all (whole other weird story involving a midnight haircut). But then, I liked Tom Hiddleston as Loki much better than Hemsworth as Thor, so there’s that.

What do you think about a possible triangle in Thor 2?

I agree--I'd rather see more Loki/Thor/Sif. I didn't care at all about any of the action on Earth; I wanted more Sif and Loki.

No let Thor have Jane (not a fan) -- I think Loki (love him) deserves Sif.
Stay off of earth (boring)

Does it count as a triangle if Sif is in Jane's body? Or as some sort of algorithmic relationship?

I loved Thor but eww Portman.. I say go with Sif, and Loki was AWESOME.. so yeah a triangle would be fantastic.. With a metal soundtrack.. How about a Norse metal soundtrack..

@synde There was absolutley not enough Manowar and Iron Maiden in the first movie for my tastes, I would have settled for Led Zepplin, but no. Fingers crossed that they fix that.

See you have Jane the pretend physiscist or Sif the Goddess of War and the Harvest, which do you find more fitting for a God of Thunder? I'm with Marnie, just set the whole thing in Asgard and have it out between Thor, Loki, and Sif. That way you get this whole brother lovin' I keep hearing about.

Meh: I really liked seeing two badass women, both emotionally connected to the same man and not related by blood, without stupid jealousy issues. Lord, do I hate stupid jealousy issues.

I would like to see more of Sif, though, insofar as she rocks.
