If you are like me, nothing improves the reading experience more than finding just the right actor or actress to fill the role of the book’s main characters to truly bring them to life. He captures the unique young mortal, intending to offer up her very soul in exchange for power, yet Elizabeth soothes his tormented mind and awakens within him emotions Lothaire believed he could no longer experience.

Nina Dobrev as Elizabeth PeirceGrowing up in desperate poverty, Ellie Peirce yearned for a better life, never imagining she’d be convicted of murder—or that an evil immortal would abduct her from death row. In a bid to save her soul, Ellie surrenders her body to the wicked vampire, while vowing to protect her heart.

Okay, people, let the debate begin! Where do you think I got it

wrong and where did I get it right, and remember, no throwing. Regin,

I agree with most of your casting choices. Yes, Gerard Butler is the perfect choice for Garreth. The one choice I completely disagree with: You chose Reese Witherspoon to play Nix. No, Olivia Wilde should play Nix! Also, we should figure out someone who is actually from the South to play Ellie Pierce. The Canadian Nina Dobrev just doesn't seem like the right choice to me. Fun article!

@heatherbartley - Love Olivia Wilde. Think she is perfect for Hag and hope to see her as a main character in the future. Have argued this w friends and stick strongly to Reese for Nix. Olivia not flaky enough for Nix.

Uh, no offense but there will need to be alot of hair coloring and weight lifting going on 'cause if I'm not mistaken many of the characters have different hair color and builds in the books than the actors and actresses chosen, but hey everyone visualizes things differently!

Pretty good for me - but a couple things i would change or swap :) - i would swap Jason Momoa and Chris Hemingsworth around - and get rid of megan fox off everything... not sure about who i would get to play carrow yet, but not her for me :P other than that i'd be pretty happy :P brill choice for lothaire ;)

As much as I dislike Megan Fox, I can see her as Carrow but I don't want to if that makes sense! I think this is pretty good, comprehensive list! Good job, Lucy!

Oh, wow some of these are spot on for me, Lana Parrilla as Sabine (I know the hair color is wrong, but I don't think that's such a big deal, and the attitude is right on), and Chris Hemsworth as Malkom for example, but some are all wrong. Reece Witherspoon as Nix is the biggest example. I'm just like, no. Reece, while lovely, is nothing like how Nix is discribed in the books, she doesn't have the right attitude to play bat-shit crazy, crazy badass and broken bird all simultaniously. I just can't imagine it. I'd actually rather see Nina Dobrev play Nix, though I'm not sure about that either, and switch Ellie to a southern actress, because I feel like because I think the regional-ness of the character is important, maybe Jennifer Lawerence, because she's epic and she can bring the enthusiasm for life and shrewed scrappy-ness to the character, like I will fight dirty if need be because I love life so much.
Also, just a general thing, but I feel like everyone forgets that the Valkaries all stop ageing at about 24-25, so none of them should look older than that, I mean, I know that nix is 3000+ years but the book says over and over that she looks like a teenager, casting a 30 something actress doesn't fit.

7. Maddison Mortimer
Love nearly all of these. Agree with everyone about Nix though, Nina would play her well. Also Julia Roberts as Mariketa no way, she is supposed to be really young, barely reaching immortality.
