Jane Eyre...and a Michael Fassbender Fix

In honor of Jane Eyre’s upcoming DVD/Blu-ray release (this coming Tuesday, August 16, to be precise—we’ve already marked our calendars, how about you?), we bring you: a dose of Michael Fassbender-Mia Wasikowska goodness, courtesy of W Magazine’s April interview.

Michael Fassbender and Mia Wasikoska, W Magazine photo shoot for Jane Eyre

I’ve already gone on record as loving the new adaptation, and that’s due in large part to the chemistry between these guys’s Jane and Mr. Rochester. Which this photo does an admirable job of demonstrating. Yowza.

If you haven’t already, check out the movie and let us know what you think—in this age of remakes, did the new Jane Eyre get it right?

And in the meantime—how’s about that Fassbender? Is he a yummy leading man or what? (More Fassy pictures as illustration always welcome, by the way.)

He's crazy hot. Plus can speak more than one language, which is even sexier in my book.

@VictoriaJanssen & @MFrampton -- I love that pic so much. Looks like a romance novel cover! Or possibly even better because, I mean: Fassbender.

I LOVED this version of JE! Probably most of it is because of Michael Fassbender, I mean he kind of makes feel weak and terribly immature.

Beautiful pic there. He is too amazing to be real, seriously. He is gorgeous as hell and speaks like 6 or 7 different languages. I am so with @MFrampton, it is very sexy. God, why won't you send me one of him?! Every movie he has been in has been a hit with me and it is usually because of him. Man, if I could clone anyone, it would be him LOL! Great post hon, thank you :)

I've been waiting for this to come out. I wanted to see it so badly in theaters, but it wasn't an option.

Also, yes, Fassbender = yum.

He's very...actory. Which irritates me.

I just finished watching the movie on demand (yay Xfinity!) It starts off strong and then goes...sort Seriously, if they're going to change the story that much, why not just go ahead and add some kung fu or vampires or something.

It wasn't all bad, though. I could stand to see Fassbender in his nightshirt again. (Especially if he would kick some vampire ass in his nightshirt. Obviously.)

That photo. Yes, seriously hot. :) Thanks for sharing it with us. I didn't even know the dvd was coming out Tuesday. I haven't bought a dvd in months. I might treat myself. :)

Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books and I loved the '07 tv version with Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens. I'm willing to give this one a definite try.
