Henry Cavill in The Immortals: Real Peasants Don’t Wear Shirts

Before Henry Cavill plays Superman, he takes on the role of Theseus in The Immortals (we featured Cavill, among others, in our Black and Blue Hotties post). We would point your attention to right around the 1 minute mark of the trailer. You know, ’cause we’re thoughtful like that.

Luke Evans, who’s playing Bard in The Hobbit, is Zeus here, and it also stars Kellan Lutz, Emmett Cullen from the Twilight movies. And just in case you think the film is biased in terms of eyecandy, Frieda Pinto plays Phaedra, and seems to have as much trouble keeping her clothing on as Theseus does.

This is the first clip that makes the film seem intriguing, not just a half-as-good 300-retread (in which case, should it be titled 150?).

The Immortals comes out November 11. You in?

Wow, I can tell the actors in The Immortals are going to be as visually appealing as the men in 300, and I love a good mythologically-inspired story, but I have a feel there's going to be a lot of blood and guts and death. Might wait until this one comes out on DVD. Then again, seeing Theseus shirtless on a big screen? Not such a bad idea:)

@BrittanyMelson--I'm thinking seeing this might be better at home, too, so wisecracking about heavyhanded plots and underdressed men can go on without annoying other theater-goers.
