For The Love Of . . . A Buffed-Up Ken Doll?

Kurtis TaylorWouldn't you like to get the body of a 25 year-old on your 50th birthday?

No, not like that; see, Mattel's Ken turns 50 this year, and the toy company decided it was time for Ken's image to get more . . . 21st century. So they ran a contest to find the real-life inspiration for Ken, titled “Genuine Ken: The Search for the Great American Boyfriend.”

Daniel CraigAnd they ended up with a 25 year-old former football player. Although, just to clear things up, Ken's body isn't necessarily modeled precisely after Kurtis Taylor's; in fact, it's “kind of inspired by some of today’s teenage heartthrobs, like Justin Bieber and Zac Efron . . . his body is a little more muscled.” So what inspiration did Taylor provide? Apparently, he's a “personification of Ken’s new ethos,” which means he has new skills, including cooking, decorating, surfing and entertaining (whatever that means).

Jared PadaleckiBut they didn't
ask us who we'd choose (and it sure as hell wouldn't be either Justin or Zac, bless their scrawny little hearts). A brief survey of the office came up with a few different options; take a look at our choices, and then let us know who you think would make the perfect Ken.

All the posted choices are good for a grown woman, but for a younger set I would propose Taylor Lautner.

I always, always go back to Taylor Kitsch from Friday Night Lights. That boy is...well. HAWT. It's really the only way to describe him.

But if you're going to exquisite physique, I go David Beckham. That man is a specimin. And the tatts just enhance that specimin.

Well, the football player is fyne but a bit too muscular for me. David Bechkham is great choice, Kati. How old is Ken supposed to be anyway? I think my choices might be too "grown." lol.

(Thinking about the actor who plays Spartacus on the Starz! TV show. He's H-H-Hot and has a sword.)

Oh goodness.... if I could have one man in my hands for hours and hours of fun... it would have to be Joe Manganiello! Maybe with no facial hair. He is some hawtness!

Sam Winchester....he should just never wear a shirt. If I were the costume designer...he would never wear a shirt.

Yes:) Why do they always dress the Winchesters in all those layers? Unnecessary. Less is more.
