Andie J. Christopher Excerpt: Biker B*tch

Andie J. Christopher

Biker B*tch by Andie J. Christopher

Skyler Clark knows she'll have to face her past when returns to the Russian River Valley to make pinot noir. People in the small town where she grew up haven't forgotten her father – a country doctor turned outlaw motorcycle club president – and his fall from grace. But as long as she keeps her own business squeaky clean and stays away from bikers, she'll be fine.

Abner Travis sold his family's vineyard and winery to build up his business. And he's the president of a clean motorcycle club that does things the overburdened sheriff's department can't. He's too busy building custom choppers for Hollywood directors and quietly sabotaging meth labs to chase a woman. But now that Skyler's all grown up, he wants her for his own. He just has to convince her that their dark, shared history shouldn't get in the way.

Travis is the one thing Skyler can't resist, but she doesn’t believe they can last. When her father's old club puts Skyler's business and safety at risk, she has to decide whether to place her trust in Travis or to walk away. And Travis has to decide how much he'll give up to keep the woman he loves.

Chapter One

Ten Years Ago

The wood door hit the wall of the old barn, echoing like a gun shot.

Then Travis walked in, and her heart nearly stopped. “Don’t you have some sort of party to be at, Carrots?”

She never should have told Travis about Anne of Green Gables. But, when she was ten, she used to imagine that his teasing meant he loved her, and they’d end up married with seven kids in a house of dreams. Except she’d be the doctor and he’d help his dad and brother on the vineyard.

The only detail he remembered was that stupid nickname. What would he call her if she dyed her hair black?

Romance Isn’t the Reason for Singledom

Dusk Until Dawn by Andie J Christopher

Today we're thrilled to welcome Andie J. Christopher (Dusk Until Dawn) to Heroes and Hearbreakers. When you openly read or write romance, sometimes many of our peers make assumptions about how that impacts other aspects of you life—like dating. Andie is here to talk about some of those frustrating instances and why romance actually has nothing to do with it. Thanks, Andie!

I write romance novels, and I have been on exactly one date in the past year. When I showed up at the dive bar—in his neighborhood across town—my date had clearly been drinking all day. Over two cheap domestic beers, he tried to entice me into returning to his “sick” condo. A condo, which he later revealed that he shared with another woman who was “practically never there.”

This is not how a romance novel starts—not unless Chris Evans shows up as I'm waiting outside the bar for my Lyft, punches a Nazi, and takes me out for a proper drink.

Robin Covington, Andie J. Christopher and Christi Barth

Free Ageny by Robin Covington, Full Contact by Andie J. Christopher, Check My Heart by Christi Barth

The New Orleans Cajun Rage professional hockey team just won the Cup. No one thought they’d do it: they were a team of shoulda beens, never coulda beens and a star or two. They’d only been in the Crescent City for three years before this year’s Cinderella run that had them skating off the ice with the championship. Over the following summer, each player gets to keep the Cup for a day. Nobody knows why, but whoever has the Cup falls in love.
USA Today Bestsellers Robin Covington, Kimberly Kincaid, Nana Malone and Virginia Nelson, Publisher’s Weekly Bestseller Angi Morgan, along with Xio Axelrod, Christi Barth, Andie J.
