But not forgotten! So tell us—what was the best book you read during Summer 2014?

Whoa. Been a busy summer and lots to choose from! Ended up with a 3 way tie:

* Alice Clayton's Wallbanger (and consequent Rusty Nailed) - She wrote a crazy hot and funny book and managed to make the whole damned thing about the relationship. (i.e. no murder, kidnappings, or dastardly plots.)
* Darynda Jones' Sixth Grave on the Edge - Um, hello. Reyes?
* All things J. Kenner - Discovered her Stark and Most Wanted series this summer - Inhaled them all. :)

Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren
Nash by Jay Crownover
The Winter King by C.L. Wilson
Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young

I'm sure there are more that I loved, but those stick out!

@Bookfan -- we share similar taste -- I thought Small Blessings, One Plus One and A Man Called Ove were excellent.
I'll have to check out the Elephant Whisperer -- I need a good audio book.

If you haven't read The Wishing Tide or The Art of Arranging Flowers -- check those out. FL here on both --

This is hard as I read so many this summer. Found an amazing used book store and glutted myself on many of Jayne Krentz's old books. Got turned on to Kristen Ashley by this site and have been inhaling her books. Nalini Singh is always a favourite and of course I need to reread the series whenever a new book comes out. Shield of Winter was good and I loved how she healed such damaged people in her last two books. Molly O'Keefe's most recent series, though I read the last book first because the blurb sounded the most interesting. Lastly, Meljean Brooks Kraken King series.

I read so many amazing books this summer! Second chance romance always rings supreme for me! I can't my hands on enough of them. MY favorites would have to The Sweet Gum Tree and somone on this site recommended Deborah Smith A Place to Call Home and Don't Let go. I know late to the game. I also loved Worth The Fall by Claudia Connor which comes out next week.
