Who’s Your Heroic Exception?

Have you encountered any heroes in romance novels who weren't your usual type—but whom you fell head over heels for anyway?

Interesting that the cover image you've chosen is a pirate, because that's the type of hero I don't usually go for. But my exception is Charming Mickey O'Connor in Elizabeth Hoyt's Scandalous Desires. I really didn't expect to enjoy the book as much as I did.
