What Will You Read Over the Holidays?

If there's one thing we likely all have in common, it's that we get a holiday next week. So since free time, for most readers, equals more reading time, we have to ask:

What will you be reading over the holidays?

I plan on reading a lot of NOT romance over the break--I tend to stick to romance mostly, both because I love it, and also it helps with my work (I am well aware how lucky I am!), but next week, I plan on taking a break from romance and reading mystery, SF/F, and some UF. Maybe even some litfic, if I'm feeling dangerous.

I'm hoping to finally read Written in Red over the holiday. I've had it sitting on an end table in the living room for a month now. Things have just been so busy I've been reading everywhere but at home!

I have so many books I'd hoped to have read by now, but am still reading. Taking with me for the holidays Still Writing by Dani Shapiro, cozy mystery Secondhand Stiff by Sue Ann Jaffarian, erotic romance Waking Kiss by Annabel Joseph and historial romance No Good Duke Goes Unpunished by Sarah MacLean.

I'm hoping to squeeze in as many as possible but at the top of my list are: Written In Red by Anne Bishop, The Countess Conspiracy by Courtney Milan, Dear Mr. Knightley by Katherine Reay and The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.

The past couple of years I've read holiday romances through the holidays. For me, this got depressing since I have no personal romance. So this year I went for romantic suspense. Now I find myself overloaded with the reality of danger.
So, next in my stack is my favorite kind of read - contemporary romance. Love a Little Sideways by Shannon Stacey
Ah, a cup of tea, some cookies and a good book.

I'm hoping to receive a few books for Christmas. I've asked for Kinked by Thea Harrison, a couple of Pamela Clare books, as well as Law Man by Kristen Ashley. I see reading in my future!
