Downton Abbey Launches Cosmetics Line and a Downton Casting Rumor!

Earlier this summer, author Amanda Hocking revealed that she had high hopes that newly-single Mary Crawley and Tom Branson would be a couple by the end of Season 4. However, the possibility seems bleaker with the latest Downton Abbey casting rumor. Daisy Lewis, who worked previously with show-creator Julian Fellowes as well, was cast in a key role as the live-in governess to Branson and the late Lady Sybil's daughter. There's rumor that Lewis's character will become a love interest for widowed Branson. While we certainly don't mind the idea of Mary and Branson together, we think their love lives might be leading them in different directions, especially with a potential love interest for Mary with the casting of Tom Cullen as an old family friend. What do you think? Do you think Branson might have potentional with the governess or should the single-parents stick together?

Lewis is just part of a long list of new castings for Season 4 which include Paul Giamatti as Cora Crawley's brother and the first recurring black character Gary Carr as a jazz singer.

Season 4 of Downton Abbey premieres on PBS January 5, 2014.

In other news, Downton Abbey has found another way into your homes—through your cosmetics! The Downton Abbey cosmetics line will launch in October, shortly after the Season 4 UK premiere. The packaging will feature the famous Downton Abbey facade and include quotes from the show, like Lady Mary's “Now stop talking and kiss me, before I get cross.”
