Fans of Veronica Roth's Divergent have been waiting—and waiting—to hear who will be cast opposite Shailene Woodley in the film version of the dystopian YA series.
And now we know: it's Theo James, who played the unlucky in love Mr. Pamuk on the first season of Downton Abbey, and who was more recently the lead in Golden Boy, the CBS series. He's been on our periphery ever since his earlier BBC days when he was the lead in the paranormal show, Bedlam. Now we're happy to see him taking on another new lead role in Divergent.
The cast also includes Kate Winslet, Die Hard‘s Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz and Maggie Q.
Divergent is scheduled for release March 21, 2014.
