Romance readers do read—and watch—things beside their favorite genre. Many romance readers also dabble in genres such as fantasy, science fiction, mystery, and women's fiction, to mention just a few.
And we watch shows such as Doctor Who, Sherlock, the various CSI iterations, and other shows where the romance is not primary, and sometimes isn't even there. Just yesterday, for example, Chris Morgan wrote about the love life of Jim Butcher's protagonist Harry Dresden.
