There's something about the addition of rain to a poignant scene to add even more emotion—after all, if you're willing to stand outside in precipitation without an umbrella, you must really be in love!
There's Say Anything, the 2005 Pride and Prejudice, Sliding Doors, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Match Point, The Notebook, this clip from Wives and Daughters (the good part is from 2:30-4:00, and they can't touch because of an outbreak of illness at his family estate), as well as many more (thanks to Twitter for the recs!).
What other love in the rain scenes can you think of, from television and film to books?
