Go Away, Please! Leaving Home Results in More Sex

It’s not just Olympic athletes who get away from it all (and go for the sexual gold); there’s a psychiatric motivation behind why so many people—athletes or not—tend to have more and better sex while away from home. A clinical professor of psychiatry says that people are more likely to have sex when they’re “away from their home environment,” and are also more sexually attracted to others who are working toward the same goals.

No wonder so many romance novels are set at vacation spots, or start their hero and heroine’s relationship off with a supposed one-night stand at a conference or event.
