Hot Head by Damon Suede

Hot firemen and some risque photo ops make for sexy, sexy times in this hot and sweet m/m romance. Two best friends begin an incredibly emotional journey that has them reevaluating their lives, professions, and friendship for one another.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire. . .

Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181: Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately Dante is strictly a ladies’ man and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For 10 years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish.

Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. To protect his buddy, there’s nothing Griff wouldn’t do…until Dante is nearly bankrupt and proposes the worst possible solution: HotHead.com, a gay-porn website where uniformed hunks get down-n-dirty… Now Dante wants them to appear there—together.

Griff may have to guard his heart and live out his darkest fantasies on camera. Can he rescue the man he loves without wrecking their careers, their families, or their friendship?

Try Me by Olivia CunningTry Me (One Night with Sole Regret #1) by Olivia Cunning

Olivia Cunning revists her sexy rock gods in this steamy, sensual novella about a young woman whose prejudices against tattoos and piercings gets a wake up call when she meets the oh so sexy drummer for the band Sole Regret. Can our hero show our heroine that it’s not what’s on the outside that counts...but what’s on the inside?

For the five sexy rock gods of Sole Regret, finding love is easy, keeping it is hard.

Melanie has no desire to meet the members of the rock band, Sole Regret, but her groupie of a best friend gets them both backstage and then rushes off with the band’s lead singer. Left alone at an after party with a bunch of scary tattooed and pierced metal-heads, sheltered Melanie is relieved when the only normal-looking guy in the room insists on keeping her company.

By the time Melanie discovers that Gabe is the band’s drummer and not as normal as she assumed, she has already made a complete fool of herself. She can’t help but be interested in him, not as a rock star, but as the sexiest man she’s ever encountered. Strangely attracted to his hidden tattoos and body piercing, she wonders what it would be like to spend a night with a bad boy.

Gabe is more than willing to show sweet Melanie there’s more to him than meets the eye. All she has to do is try him. Will they only share a single night of passion? Or will their hearts entangle as quickly as their bodies?

Star Crossed by Kele MoonStar Crossed (Battered Hearts #2) by Kele Moon

Humor and texting is the mainstay of Kele Moon’s erotic Romeo and Juliet style romance about a MMA superstar with mob connections who falls in love with a lawyer/deputy from a small town. When their respective family members design to keep the “star crossed” lovers apart, our couple vow to go down fighting rather than accept a tragic ending to their relationship. Though not considered a true erotic, it is a steamy, sexy, hot romance that is well worth reading.

Heavyweight MMA fighter Romeo Wellings comes from the hard streets of New York where his family ties to the mafia cause him nothing but pain. His life takes a surprising detour when he crosses paths with the twin sister of his long-time enemy. After a steamy one-night stand, he faces the fight of his life, but it’s not in the cage. The secret relationship that blooms between Romeo and his real life Juliet has him battling his family and a dark past rather than let her go.

The only lawyer in her hometown of Garnet, Jules Conner is also a volunteer Sheriff’s deputy and co-owner of a successful MMA training center. Strong and dependable, Jules is always there for those who need her. Until one forbidden night in Las Vegas with Romeo leaves her feeling so alive she can’t stop reaching out to the sexy, bad boy of MMA, even knowing the forbidden love affair could jeopardize everything.

As the tide rises against them and the people they love work at keeping them apart, Romeo and Jules hold onto a dream for a better life together and vow to go down fighting rather than accept a tragic ending

Frog by Mary CalmesFrog by Mary Calmes

A beautiful, romantic, and sexy m/m contemporary centering around a drifter cowboy and the successful doctor that loves him. Their journey of self-discovery of themselves and their relationship will have you tearing up and cheering.

Weber Yates’s dreams of stardom are about to be reduced to a ranch hand’s job in Texas, and his one relationship is with a guy so far out of his league he might as well be on the moon. Or at least in San Francisco, where Weber stops to see him one last time before settling down to the humble, lonely life he figures a frog like him has coming.

Cyrus Benning is a successful neurosurgeon, so details are never lost on him. He spotted the prince in a broken-down bull rider’s clothing from day one. But watching Weber walk out on him keeps getting harder, and he’s not sure how much more his heart can take. Now Cyrus has one last chance to prove to Weber that it’s not Weber’s job that makes him Cyrus’s perfect man, it’s Weber himself. With the help of his sister’s newly broken family, he’s ready to show Weber that the home the man’s been searching for has always been right there, with him. Cyrus might have laid down an ultimatum once, but now it’s turned into a vow—he’s never going to let Weber out of his life again.

Bound to You by Bethany KaneBound to You by Bethany Kane

This short novella pack a powerful sexual punch when Hollywood actress Jennifer Turner escapes to the solitude of the forest for peace and quiet. John Corcoran also lives in the forest and enjoys his quiet life. When he comes across Jennifer and a mishap lands them in an abandoned mine, John and Jennifer will have to rely on all their senses to survive until help arrives.

John Corcoran loved the isolation of the Shawnee National Forest with the crisp spring air, the sounds of nature, and the bracing scent of pine. Isolation is what movie star Jennifer Turner craved as well, an escape that only a weekend hike, a long and blissful distance from Hollywood, could provide.

Yesterday, they were strangers—until a fateful accident, deep in the forest and far from civilization, throws them together and plunges them both into darkness. For Jennifer it is as unnerving as the night itself, trapped in such close quarters with a man as mysterious as John. He is alpha: bold, rough, and masculine, but with a scent of firewood and spice she finds intoxicating.

In the dark, Jennifer’s nightmares spring to life. The only way to vanquish them is by submitting to blind, naked need. Now, as intimately close as a man and a woman can be, they find themselves alone, battling fear and vulnerability. Only an unexpected passion will comfort them—a sensual, raw experience from which neither is certain they want to be rescued.

Firemen, rock stars, doctors, cowboys, and MMA fighters—what’s on your hot list this month?

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! Thank you for mentioning Hot Head. I LOVED that book. I read it last month when I got a free copy from BEA. I cannot say enough good things about it. It tugged at my heart strings and was sensual as all get out.

Oliva Cunning writes the most amazing erotica. If you like Try Me - then definitely check out her "Sinners on Tour" series. Always on my "Must Read Again" list!

I also LOVED Hot Head, though I know others who didn't. It was Griff who did it for me. Such a great character. I also am feeling stalker-y and can't wait for Damon Suede's next one (which I think is supposed to be about Tommy, the paramedic who was the subject of the gay-bashing incident in Hot Head).

I also really liked the Bethany Kane/Beth Kery one. I am a huge fan of hers, regardless of the name she is writing under.

Finally, I really liked Charlotte Stein's "Restraint". It isn't very long but it is very hot.

Although not gay myself, I am glad to see authors proudly writing about such reltationships and publishers willing to back them. While I don't read it, I have many gay friends who do and its fantastic for them to be able to read beautiful romances about something that is close to them. I enjoyed Olivia Cunning's book and its great to be able to have an impromptu book club with friends over both types of books. Plus, steamy = sighhhhh.........
