The Gateway Experiment: Linda Howard’s Mr. Perfect

David GandyLast week, we asked you guys to weigh in on what Christopher Morgan should read next in his ongoing Gateway Experiment. In Our Romance Virgin Gets Thrilled: The Next Gateway Experiment Book is Romantic Suspense, suggestions were made, nominations were seconded, and raves of J.D. Robb and Suzanne Brockmann abounded.

In the end, Chris chose Linda Howard’s Mr. Perfect because it seems to be the most recommended of the titles. Here’s the blurb:

What would make the perfect man?

That’s the deliciously racy topic that Jaine Bright and her three girlfriends are pondering one night at their favorite after-hours hot spot: Mr. Perfect. Would he be tall, dark, and handsome? Caring and warmhearted — or will just muscular do? As their conversation hears up, they concoct a tongue-in-cheek checklist that becomes an overnight sensation, spreading like wildfire at work and sizzling along e-mail lines. But what began as a joke among friends turns deadly serious when one of the four women is murdered....Turning to her neighbor, an unpredictable police detective, for help, Jaine must unmask a killer to save her friends — and herself. Now, knowing whom to trust and whom to love is a matter of survival — as the dream of Mr. Perfect becomes a chilling nightmare.

So while Chris begins his foray into romantic suspense, we’ll ask you: What would your Mr. Perfect be like?

Good choice of books and model in the pic above (David Gandy really is tasty). I recall reading that one eons ago and enjoying it a lot. I also remember there were funny moments too. Linda Howard is really good at infusing that element in to her romantic suspense novels.

I'm currently going through a Canadian phase and find myself obsessed admiring actor Kris Holden-Ried from Lost Girl.

MacGyver! There's nothing sexier than a man who can save you from a very bad fate with nothing but duct tape and a bottle of hair gel.

Oh my Mr Perfect would probably be a hand-worker with some twisted sense of humour. Cooking skills greatly appreciated ;-) As to esthetics, hum I guess he would be somewhere between Daniel Day Lewis, Liam Neeson and Michael Fassbender. I don't care much about the physical traits, more about charisma and intensity :)
