March Comes Like a Lion: Best Erotic Reads this Month

Trust In Me by Skye WarrenIn need of some sexy reading material to fill your e-reader? I’m here for you. Each month I will bring you an assortment of erotic pleasure reads to tempt your palate—and your credit card....

Trust In Me (Dark Erotica) by Skye Warren, released 2/6/2012
I haven’t read this but have been hearing that it is HOT, HOT, HOT.

Mia longs for the daily torture to end, but one last task keeps her holding on. In a betrayal of the crime lord who pulled her from the gutter, she’ll free the shipment of human cargo, and if she’s lucky, die in the process. The alternative is unfathomable, even to a woman well-versed in erotic torture. But luck abandons her yet again when she meets the security expert in charge of the shipment and finds herself face to face with her childhood crush. The man she once begged for help. The man who failed her.

Tyler Martinez is an undercover FBI agent with one chance to right the wrongs of his past. Thrust deep into the seedy world of human trafficking, he must put aside his guilt over abandoning Mia all those years ago in order to save her now.

Someone’s pulling the strings in this sadistic play on trust, but Tyler and Mia may not live long enough to see the curtain fall. Trust in Me is a story of erotic pain and incipient romance, spiraling ever faster toward betrayal or redemption.

The Last Girl by Kitty ThomasNot many have forgotten Kitty Thomas’s mind-blowing and very uncomfortable non-consensual erotic Comfort Food. She is back with another unusual and dark erotic that chronicles the relationship between a young girl and an unapologetic vampire who revels in the pain and pleasure he can bring his prey.

The Last Girl by Kitty Thomas, released 2/12/2012
Six years ago, strangers broke into Juliette’s house; she was home alone and only thirteen. She kept her eyes closed, praying that if she didn’t see anything, she wouldn’t be killed. No one harmed her. In fact, one of the thieves protected her. Now Juliette’s dreams are haunted by him.

Christian has waited to take her, resisting the urge each night. It always ends badly with human pets. They’re too fragile. The longer he can wait, the better, because the moment he takes her, the clock on her life starts ticking down. Then she’ll be gone forever.

Burned by Eliza GayleEliza Gayle’s Burned, released 1/31/2012

Number 4 in Gayle’s smoking hot Purgatory series, she plays with fire with the introduction of Rudy and Zane.

Being a fire inspector is the perfect job for a girl with a fire fetish. Ruby has come to terms with her obsession, and thanks to her part-time job as a bartender at Purgatory, she can dabble in a scene she isn’t sure she belongs in without going too far or too deep. But there’s one Dom in town who makes her burn for things she wishes she didn’t.

Zane made sure he was on the performance roster at Purgatory for charity night because Ruby would be on duty. He’s respected her wishes to stay away as long as he could, but tonight while his fire burns bright he’ll take possession of the willful beauty who has captured his heart.

(This story was previously published as Fire and Desire and has been revised and re-edited for re-release.)

Hostile Takeover by Joey W. HillHostile Takeover (Knights of the Board Room #5) by Joey W. Hill released 01/27/2012

Whew! Who ever thought the corporate world could be so decadent?

Ben is the last unattached member of the five man executive team of K&A Associates. The other four, all Masters, have found the submissive of their dreams. That’s fine. The sharp-edged lawyer knows he’s the most hardcore of all of them, with extreme tastes as a Master he satisfies physically through experienced club submissives. He doesn’t really need anything more than that.

Marcie has loved Ben since she was sixteen. He’s never behaved as anything more than a protective big brother, a family friend. But now she’s twenty three and starting her career as a corporate investigator. She may be a blood-and-bone-deep submissive, but she won’t hesitate to use her aggressive talents to prove she’s meant to be his. With a Master as tough as Ben, she’ll have to take whatever measures are needed—even if her deepest desire isn’t a hostile takeover of his heart, but an unconditional surrender to it.

(This can be read within the series or as a standalone.)

Covet by Felicity HeatonI am a huge fan of Felicity Heaton’s erotic stories. Her Vampire Realm series is a personal favorite. She brings us more vampire erotic goodness with the Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance series and the first book of the series, Covet. A sizzling erotic romance with sexy characters and unbelievable love scenes.

Covet by Felicity E. Heaton, released January 2012

They’ve burned for each other for two years, the forbidden attraction between them growing each night. Now resisting the sinful desires of their hearts is becoming impossible. Javier knows better than to succumb to his hunger for Lilah. The mortal female belongs to a powerful aristocrat patron of Vampirerotique, the theatre he runs with three other vampires. A single touch is all it would take to break the sacred law of his kind, sentencing himself to death, but his passion for her has become too fierce to ignore and he will risk everything to make Lilah his.

Lilah has fought her desire for Javier since arriving at his theatre as a servant but each glance he has stolen, his eyes promising pleasure that will satisfy her longing for him, has chipped away at her defences and she can no longer deny her need and her forbidden feelings for the powerful vampire male.
When they find themselves alone in a private box during one of the erotic performances, will they surrender to their passion and live out their wildest fantasies in a night of wicked pleasure or will the threat of Lilah’s master keep them apart forever?

Trust in Me is H.O.T. It push some boundaries, it's dark and edgy but definitely worth it!
Kitty Thomas's Comfort Food is... uncomfortable, but as Kitty Thomas herself said it she doesn't write erotic romance- It's so much more; while I was reading it, it was like I was in head of that girl, it's complete psychological study of her behavior... I was under impression for a long time. Did you read The Last Girl....? I hesitated to order it when I read that part about thirteen years... And I love KT writing, but I was waiting to see some reactions.
Great post, Tori! Very informative. I'll try Burned, never read this series...

Megan: YES! I want to hear about this too. I'm a chicken shit and didn't buy. Something in the description scared me away... but maybe that's what means it should be read?

Thank you Tori for all these suggestions ! I guess I'll first read Joey W. Hill's and Kitty Thomas's books _ the first because I've liked the few books of hers I've read, the latter because, as a reader, I liked my boundaries to be pushed from time to time (and how were they pushed by Comfort food...).
Covet sounds great too, and I don't think I've ever read any Felicity Heaton's book, so that shall be a good occasion to!

I just finished Megan Hart's "Broken". It blew me away. Such a complex book. It made me cry and cry. But it was SO good.
