Purple Prose: New Hoyt, Banks, and London Covers Revealed!

Thief of Shadows by Elizabeth HoytPurple is the color of the day thanks to our discovery of three new covers today from historical romance authors Elizabeth Hoyt, Maya Banks, and Julia London, all of which happen to feature a pretty shade of purple (and gorgeous cover models, of course—yum!).

Thief of Shadows by Elizabeth Hoyt (July 1, 2012)

Winter Makepeace lives a double life. By day he’s the stoic headmaster of a home for foundling children. But the night brings out a darker side of Winter. As the moon rises, so does the Ghost of St. Giles-protector, judge, fugitive. When the Ghost, beaten and wounded, is rescued by a beautiful aristocrat, Winter has no idea that his two worlds are about to collide.

Lady Isabel Beckinhall enjoys nothing more than a challenge. Yet when she’s asked to tutor the Home’s dour manager in the ways of society-flirtation, double-entendres, and scandalous liaisons-Isabel can’t help wondering why his eyes seem so familiar-and his lips so tempting.

Never Seduce a Scot by Maya BanksDuring the day Isabel and Winter engage in a battle of wills. At night their passions are revealed.... But when little girls start disappearing from St. Giles, Winter must avenge them. For that he might have to sacrifice everything-the Home, Isabel...and his life.

Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks (September 25, 2012)

The description for Never Seduce a Scot has not yet been released, but Maya Banks posted the cover to her Facebook page along with a message that reads in part: “Hey guys, taking a short break from writing, writing, writing, to share with you the cover of my next Scottish historical, Never Seduce a Scot which releases September 25th of this year. I’ve gotten many emails and messages asking if I was writing more historicals so here’s proof!...”

The Seduction of Lady X by Julia LondonThe Seduction of Lady X by Julia London (March 27, 2012)

The would-be Earl of Ashwood sets his romantic sights on a forbidden prize in the enchanting third novel from Julia London’s addictively sexy new series.

The surprising news that dashing steward Harrison Tolly, illegitimate son of the Earl of Ashwood, is the rightful heir to his father’s estate comes at a most inopportune time. With a wedding on the horizon and a baby on the way, a new life of privilege and prestige would be a blessing but for one problem: his heart belongs to another woman.

Harrison keeps his desires for his employer’s wife, Lady Olivia Carey, so hidden that even she does not know of his devotion. Her callous husband, Marquis Carey, went into a rampage after Olivia’s troublesome younger sister returned from her tour of Spain pregnant, and Harrison impulsively stepped in to save the entire family from scandal. Now, like Olivia, he is trapped in a loveless arrangement. When a tragic accident claims the marquis’ life soon thereafter, can Harrison seize his chance and cast aside one sister for another? Or will doing so expose the Carey family’s darkest secret—and ruin his only chance to win Olivia’s heart?

What do you think—are you feeling the purple?

Lol, I don't know if I'm feeling purple, but the covers are definitely gorgeous, for all those 3 books!
I'm looking forward to reading Hoyt's and London's books _ the first is definitely promising and the latter seems to be quite dense in emotions! I don't think I've ever read a Maya Banks' book, but I must admit that all this mystery is rather intriguing...
