Can Robert Pattinson walk out of the darkness and into the light of film success? So far, not so much (see: Water for Elephants). The clip for his upcoming film, Bel Ami, shows our Edward as a fortune-hunter gigolo during the belle epoque, a far cry from his ’I’m very dead and nearly as honorable’ Twilight persona.
Bel Ami, based on a Guy de Maupassant story, also stars Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Christina Ricci, and is in theaters March, 2012.
