Habitual Reading

In the ’they do medical studies on this?’ department comes the news that a study, published in Neurogastroenterology & Motility, has been done on the efficacy of toilet reading (shortened to TR in this study).

Turns out that Toilet Readers are primarily “Males, younger age, secular population, higher education level and white collar workers,” and that reading can provide unconscious relaxation, which helps with, um, other things.

Look, we could make lots of scatalogical jokes, but we don’t give a sh—oh, never mind.

Who knew TR was so...beneficial?
