The newest Bond girl for the next film in the Bond franchise, Bond 23, has been chosen; it’s Berenice Marlohe, a French actress whose entire film resume up to now seems to be in French films.
She joins Daniel Craig playing original bad-boy rake James Bond, of course, as well as Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Judi Dench, and Ben Whishaw. Sam Mendes (Revolutionary Road, American Beauty) is directing.
Marlohe is certainly gorgeous enough to fill the shoes previously occupied by, among others, Ursula Andress, Eva Green, Halle Berry, Jill St. John, Michelle Yeoh, and Diana Rigg. And Daniel Craig—well,it’s no secret how much we admire his brand of bad-assery. Paired against baddies played by Bardem and Fiennes? We can not wait until November 2012.
