What can we say about August reads that we also hear on the weather every day? Hot, steamy and exciting. But at least when books make you sweat, it’s in a good way.
Romantic Suspense veteran Stephanie Tyler leads off the contemporaries with In the Air Tonight. Fans of small town series will adore Sophie Gunn’s Sweet Kiss of Summer. August also marks the return of contemporary favorite Louisa Edwards with the first book in her new series, Too Hot To Touch.
On the hotter side, sports fans everywhere can enjoy their summer days with Changing the Game by Jaci Burton, the second in her sizzling ‘game’ series.
Jennifer Haymore’s latest, Confessions of an Improper Bride leads off the historical titles. The Bride Wore Scarlet is the second of Liz Carlyle’s new historical trilogy, and Miranda Neville wraps up her recent series with the highly anticipated The Amorous Education of Celia Seton.
August also sees the return of historical favorites Sophie Jordan (with Wicked in Your Arms) and Victoria Dahl (with It’s Always Been You). On the hotter side, Lila Dipasqua has her first full length release with A Midnight Dance.
August’s Paranormal releases are all expected to fly off bookstore shelves: Storm’s Heart is Thea Harrison’s second title in her Elder Races series and Master of Shadows marks Angela Knight’s return to the Mageverse. Juliana Stone continues her Castillo brothers series with His Darkest Salvation. Erica Hayes’s next thrilling installment in her Shadowfae Chronicles series, Blood Cursed is also on its way.
And of course, the most highly anticipated title of all? Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Retribution rounds out the August releases.
As always, I’d love to hear from you. Let me know what I’ve missed, and what titlesyou are most looking forward to reading in August.
Take care, and happy reading.
