Word from Hollywood is that another remake is in the works for Romeo and Juliet, this time starring True Grit's Hailee Steinfeld as Juliet, Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick as Tybalt, and—Romeo has yet to be cast (who would you cast as Romeo? My choice would be Ian Somerhalder, but that's just 'cause he is foxy-hot).
Perhaps most intriguing to us adults is that Downton Abbey scribe Julian Fellowes is writing the script; that makes sense, since Fellowes seems to be fascinated by the collision of culture, whether it's between upper and lower classes, nouveau riche versus old money, or now Montagus against Capulets.
What is your favorite version of Shakespeare's famous tragedy?
