For the Love of...I Don’t Know How She Does It?

Okay, so here's the brand-new trailer for Sarah Jessica Parker's I Don't Know How She Does It, about an overworked, overstressed mom trying to juggle it all.

Comedy gold? OR OUR REAL LIVES?

Even this trailer makes me stressed. And I tried to read the book, but that was so stressful I had to stop. I appreciate the potential humor in this kind of entertainment, but this just isn't escapism for me. Just. Not.

What do you think? Am I overreacting?

wow. I hear you, sister. But none of my clients look like Pierce Brosnan.

@Mochabean, isn't that always true? No-one looks the way they are pictured in movies--because I haven't seen your construction guys, but they never look like Brad Pitt. More like Paul Giamatti.

I'm also too sensitive for this kind of stress in my entertainment. Definitely looking for the opposite.

Though I've had a crush on Pierce Brosnan since Remington Steele.

@Gretchn: Exactly! Pierce is fine, still fine, in fact, but this just looks too close to real life. Not entertainment.

I completely agree - I mostly watch and read things that take me away from my own reality. I always say that the reason that I don't watch The Amazing Race is that it too closely mirrors my own life. Watching people rush from Point A to Point B is not relaxing for me -- it's REAL LIFE! :)

I vote with the majority. :) I prefer escapism too. Otherwise, it's a documentary. LOL
