For seven years now, author Brenda Novak has run an auction to raise money for diabetes research. She was originally inspired to begin the auction when her son, now 14, was diagnosed with the disease.
Head on over to Brenda Novak's Annual Online Auction for Diabetes Research, where you can bid to win meals and drinks with authors (including Diana Gabaldon, Sabrina Jeffries, and Eileen Dreyer—who'll also name a character after you!), Advance Reading Copies (ARCs) from Kelley Armstrong, Elizabeth Hoyt, and Jennifer Estep, Royal Afternoon Tea with Meg Cabot, and two concert tickets plus a meet-and-greet with Celine Dion. Most of the auctions run the entire month of May, but there are one-day auctions and shorter-run auctions, too.
