For the Love of...Bridesmaids and Female Equality

Forget equal pay; this is what we've been fighting for: The entertainment world's right to show that women can be pigs, just like men. And our right to be amused by it.

It looks like it could be good, and I, for one, am glad that Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40 Year-Old Virgin, et al) has taken on a project that reveals the moments between us ladies that aren't just tea and empathetic moments. Plus, Kristen Wiig is ridiculously funny.

How many of you have had these times with your friends? I'm raising my hand.

This looks hilarious. I'm so glad its a comedy about women that isn't afraid to get dirty! We deserve our own Hangover dont ya think!?

@Streanor, it does look funny, and I bet there are more wrong parts in the movie they couldn't include in the trailer (for more mass public viewing). I like that kind of humor a lot, and I adore Kristen Wiig.

I just saw the preview for this a couple days ago! Oh, god, I love it. I know my friends and I are raunchy; happy to see it in a movie.

This looks interesting! However, we have had a raunchy women's romantic comedy--2002's The Sweetest Thing with Cameron Diaz and Selma Blair. I also find it interesting that this is scripted by a man, and in light of the summer blockbuster treatment the male-penned Friends With Benefits is receiving, compared to February slump month given to the female-penned No Strings Attached (which was written first and was considered one of the best unproduced scripts back in 2008), it just shows that Hollywood is still all about men.
