H&H Redesign Update #3

H&H under construction

Hey guys,

We hope you all haven’t forgotten that the H&H site is under construction! No changes are visible yet, but we can tell you we’re finally able to breathe again after an intense design phase. No one said getting a makeover would be easy. Whew!

As we wrap up the design phase, we’re excited to tell you that the look and feel of the new site is shaping up to be more in sync with H&H's plans for the future. Next up is actually moving all of our posts, comments, images, etc. into the new site, which will take a few more months.

We'll keep you in the loop about what some of those changes will entail before the new site launches in spring 2016, but until then we'd love to know more about how you use the H&H New Releases Romance Novel Shopping List, which is our pride and joy and something we think (hope!) you enjoy too.

Can you tell us the top reasons you use the shopping list from month to month? For instance, do you skim it to see what's out from specific authors, or do you like to see what's out across the whole genre? Do you look at the page on a desktop or phone, or do you prefer to print it out and take it to a store? Do you look at the list every week, or only once a month? Basically, how is the list most useful to you, and what improvements, if any, would you like to see in future?

Thanks for your input and stay tuned for what's next!

H&H Redesign Update #2

H&H under constructionHey, everyone! We want to give you a super quick update on the Heroes and Heartbreakers redesign project...

Wow, the past few weeks have been intense and we are only about halfway through the design phase! We've had so much fun, and the design and overall feel of the new site is starting to take shape. We have been doing our best to ensure that every pixel is perfectly placed and that the design will be user-friendly. We are very excited and can't wait to show you.

With all of that said, we are hoping you can take a moment to participate by answering the poll below.

Announcing the Heroes and Heartbreakers Redesign!

H&H under constructionWe have a very exciting announcement—Heroes and Heartbreakers is getting a makeover! We here at H&H HQ have been proud to be a part of the romance community since 2011, and we're not going anywhere. After almost five years, however, we think it's high time the site was treated to some TLC in the form of an updated look and feel, plus better features for YOU, our users! We hope you'll agree.

Why redesign the site?
As much as we love the site the way it is now, we're planning to make it even easier for you to find exactly what you're looking for (like quick access to the latest shopping list!), discuss your favorite topics with fellow readers, and generally get your daily romance fix, whether you're on your desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone.

When will the new site launch?
This announcement is very early days, as the new site won't launch until late this year or spring 2016, but we wanted to let you know what's in the works!

Will old blog posts and comments disappear?
No. We will be migrating all our content over to the new site, including blog posts, user profiles, and comments. All of H&H’s existing content will be searchable and available on the new site.

What’s next?
Our main priority today is to let you know a redesign is on the horizon. We will be keeping you updated about timing and changes throughout this process, so expect more information in the coming days, weeks, and months as we get it. Your feedback is ALWAYS welcome, so feel free to chime in.

If you have specific questions, Team H&H is happy to answer as best as we can; send your questions, concerns, and/or hopes for the future to info@heroesandheartbreakers.com.

Crushing Hard: A Sneak Peek at Swoon Reads

Heroes and Heartbreakers will soon be welcoming a new sister site, Swoon Reads, which is a YA romance community (check out the blog here) AND publishing imprint. But first, H&H readers have the chance to check out the site while it's in beta—before its official launch!

Here's more about Swoon:

Swoon Reads is a teen romance imprint publishing under Feiwel and Friends, an imprint of Macmillan.

Swoon Reads is dedicated to publishing books that capture the intensity of teen love. More than an imprint, Swoon Reads is a community – one whose members are included in every step of the publishing process. We open the doors for writers and readers to discover the best, most Swoon-worthy teen romance novels and make their voices heard. Together, we publish love stories you will want to read over and over again.

Swoon has something for both YA readers and authors: registered site members can upload manuscripts as well as read and rate manuscripts. The highest-rated stories will be reviewed by Swoon's editorial board for possible publication.

Sounds cool, right? To learn more, visit SwoonReads.com, and be sure to send the Swoon team any feedback you have to help with launch!

Like Christmas in August: 12 Holiday Novellas Coming Soon! (Exclusive Cover Reveals!)

One Hot Scot by Suzanne EnochLast month, we announced that H&H will be publishing two holiday-themed original stories—Stacia Kane's Close to You and Kitty French's Wanderlust—and that they are part of a larger holiday program. Well, now we can officially reveal that between Heroes and Heartbreakers and St. Martin's Press, there are actually TWELVE original e-books (including a previously published fan-favorite story from Francis Ray) coming out this fall from authors you love!

It's true: Suzanne Enoch, Sugar Jamison, Stacia Kane, Elizabeth Essex, Cat Devon, Zoë Archer, Beth Ciotta, Diane Kelly, Valerie Bowman, Donna Grant, and Kitty French have all written the most delightful holiday novellas for the program, and we can't wait for you to fall in love with them just as we have.

Today, Heroes and Heartbreakers is pleased to share the covers and descriptions for all 12 of these very special stories:

Suzanne Enoch's One Hot Scot: A Scandalous Highlanders Story (October 1, 2013)

“One Hot Scot” is a special holiday story from Suzanne Enoch!

While attending her aunt's wedding in Inverness, Julia Prentiss is literally swept off her feet by a man who kidnaps her for her fortune. Julia manages to escape from his estate in the Highlands, only to find herself alone, lost, and hunted in a strange land. When she stumbles across a naked man in a lake, she thinks her luck has gone from bad to worse…or has it?

Duncan Lenox lives surrounded by enemies, a MacLawry in a land of Campbells. With three sisters at home who rely on him, he's become a very cautious man. But when an auburn-haired English beauty has nowhere else to turn, he feels obligated to help. When the two are forced to spend the night in an abandoned cottage while a storm rages and enemies circle, they find a mutual passion that could save — or doom — them both.
